About this release• Version 6 contains significant changes across the web platform and the app• Due to new functionality on the web platform, a new v6 app is required to

communicate with any v6 site (for example, the new question types will not be rendered properly in the v5 app)

• The new v6 app will however be backward compatible with the v5 platform, and there are only minor changes to the UI (most of which our customers have categorised as bug fixes

• The v6 app will be released as an upgrade. So the app will be updated in the App Store and Play Store, to a timeframe to be agreed with our customers. Those who do not intend to upgrade immediately will be able to use the new app with the existing web platform

Email invitation assessment workflow

1. The student is sent an email invitation assessment form. Using the app, either independently or in consultation with

somebody in practice, they can enter one or more email addresses of the observers

that will send the feedback.

2. Each of the observers receives an email from Myprogress with a link to complete an assessment. Each observer confirms their

email address and then completes the form.

3. A member of faculty receives all responses and reviews them, using the

online system or a report export.

Email invitation assessment workflow

4. The faculty member edits and moderates the gathered responses before the data is

anonymised and sharing it back to the student.

5. The student can review the anonymous feedback, either online or within their

mobile app.

6. The student and faculty reviewer as well as other faculty members, can discuss the

gathered responses using standard Myprogress functionality.

“Linking learning experiences is an important part of the process – we

need students to think about these links and store them

somewhere”

New and updated reports

• Myprogress v6 overhauls the logic used to determine who can see what responses within the reports to bring them into line with the rest of the interface:– Draft responses are excluded from all reports– Administrators can see all responses created in their

organisation– Faculty can only see responses that have been shared with

them– Blog posts are treated as private unless the student chooses to

share them

New and updated reports

• New reports have also been developed to support faculty and administrators with a range of day-to-day tasks:– Response comparison report – where responses are shown side

by side, ideal for comparing multiple responses to the same assessment

– Deadline reports – for tracking student responses against deadlines

– Marker reports – quickly and easily see which markers have outstanding actions and which are up to date with their marking workload

App usability enhancements

• The email verified observation workflow, one of the most commonly used within Myprogress, has been updated to provide much clearer instructions to both student and observer

• Re-written alerts and button labels make it an easier process for all involved, especially observers who may be unfamiliar with Myprogress or using mobile devices for workplace based assessments
