Step 0: Accessing Apply for a New Company Name e-Service

Notes(a) Click on the e-Services hyperlink in the top menu to proceed to e-Services main page.(b) Click on the Name Application, Incorporation and Amalgamation hyperlink to proceed to

Local Company Main Page, where Name Application, Incorporation and Amalgamation sub-header is expanded.

(OR)(a) Click on the By Entities hyperlink in the quick access menu.(b) Click on the Local Company hyperlink.(c) Click on the Name Application, Incorporation and Amalgamation hyperlink to expand

the sub-header.

Notes(a) Click on the Apply for a New Company Name hyperlink to access the Apply for a New

Company Name e-Service.

Notes(a) The Maintain Transaction Page will be displayed if there is an un-submitted transaction that

was previously saved by the user.(b) To proceed further,

1. Select “Continue with Existing Transaction” to continue with the un-submittedtransaction that was previously saved by the user, OR select “New Transaction” toremove the previously saved record and allow the user to begin a new transaction.

2. Click on the Next button to proceed with filing the transaction.(c) At any point of time during the transaction, the user can click on the Home hyperlink on the

top menu bar to go back to home page.

Maintain Transaction





Step 1: Company Information

Notes(a) All the mandatory fields marked by * must be entered.(b) To verify the company name,

1. Enter the proposed name2. Click on the check name button,

3. The relevant/appropriate message will be displayed.(c) Click on the search for activity button to view the company activity list page.(d) Click on the Reset button to proceed to clear all the entered values.(e) Click on the Save & Next button to proceed to enter details page.

Notes(f) If the intended company will be a public company limited by guarantee, either select an

appropriate suffix for the proposed name OR tick the checkbox to make a declaration thatapproval has been obtained from the Minister to register as a company without the additionof the word “Limited” or “Berhad” to its name.

This declaration will be displayed when Company Limited by Guarantee is selected as Company Type.

(g) If the intended company will be a Public Accounting Corporation,1. Select an appropriate PAC suffix to form part of the proposed name.2. The Public Accounting Corporation section will then be displayed.

This section will be displayed when a Public Accounting Corporation suffix is selected under Proposed Name.

(h) If the intended company will take over a business,1. Select Yes to indicate that the company will take over the business.

2. Enter the valid Business Registration No.3. Click on the icon to retrieve the Business Information.4. The proposed name of the intended company must be the same as the business

name to be taken over. The user will be required to declare that the business wouldbe terminated before incorporating the intended company.

This section will display when the intended company will take over the business.





Step 2: Enter Details

2.1 Add Company Director / Shareholder / Member

Notes(a) Click on Identification No. / Registration No. hyperlink to edit information.(b) Click on the Next button to proceed to Add Approval from Other Authorities (if applicable)

OR to Review Application Page.(c) Click on the Delete button to remove the selected records from the list.(d) All the mandatory fields marked by * must be entered.(e) To retrieve people profile information,

1. Enter an Identification No. that exists in the ACRA database.

2. Click on the icon 3. The system will retrieve the relevant person’s particulars.

(f) To retrieve postal code information,1. Enter a valid postal code

2. Click on the icon 3. The system will retrieve the Block/House number, Street Name and Building/Estate

Name (if applicable).(g) Click on the Add button to add the director / shareholder / member.(h) Click on the Back button to return to company information page.(i) Click on the Reset button to clear all entered values.(j) Click on the Save & Next button to add the director / shareholder / member and proceed to

Add Approval from Other Authorities (if applicable) OR to Review Application Page.





Enter Details – Add Company Director / Shareholder (Individual)rr





Notes(k) To retrieve corporate entity information,

1. Select a Shareholder Category2. Enter a valid registration number3. Click on the Search button4. The system will retrieve the registration number, name and address of the corporate

entity.

(l) To search for corporate entities,1. Select a Shareholder Category2. Do not enter a registration number OR enter an invalid registration number3. Click on the Search button4. The Search Corporate Entity Page will be displayed. Please refer to Search

Corporate Entity e-guide

Enter Details – Add Company Director / Shareholder (Corporate)





2.2 Approval From Other Authorities

Notes(a) Click on Approval Authority hyperlink to edit information.(b) Click on the Next button to proceed to Review Application Page.(c) Click on the Delete button to remove the selected records from the list.(d) All the mandatory fields marked by * must be entered.

(e) Click on the Add button to proceed to add new approval from authorities.(f) Click on the Back button to return to Add Company Director / Shareholder / Member page.(g) Click on the Reset button to clear all entered values.(h) Click on the Save & Next button to add new approval from authorities and proceed to Review

Application page.

Step 3: Review Application

Notes(a) Click on Company Information hyperlink to return to Company Information page.(b) Click on Proposed Company Directors / Shareholders / Members hyperlink to return to

Add Company Director / Shareholder / Member page.(c) Click on Details of In-Principle Approval Obtained from Other Authorities hyperlink to

return to Approval From Other Authorities page.(d) Click on the Back button to proceed to previous page.(e) Click on the Print This Page button to activate windows facility to print the current page.(f) Click on the Confirm button to proceed to Make Payment page.





Review Application





Step 4: Make Payment

Notes(a) Click on the Cancel button to cancel the payment. The transaction will not be submitted.(b) Click on the Submit button to proceed to confirm the payment. Once the payment is made

successfully, the Payment Acknowledgement page will be displayed.

Notes(a) Click on the Print This Page button to activate windows facility to print the current page.(b) Click on the Print Review Page button to view the Review Application page.(c) Click on the Logout button to log out of the system.
