publications that build community

my hometown

When my family and I moved into our new home in Estrella just over three years ago, we faced all of the normal dilemmas of new homeowners - where to put the furniture, which wall would get which picture, and for the twins - which room would belong to whom? All mini-mental puzzles could be rationalized through trial and error over the first couple of weeks - except the teens’ room situation. With one bedroom slightly larger than the other, how could we choose? My hus-band came up with an amicable solution. We would let the teens draw straws - the longest, getting the bigger room. Agreed. When Bailey drew the longer of the two straws, the sighs and raised eyebrows were all the verbiage any of us needed for finalization. Brooke would inherit the smaller of the two bedrooms. Thus, we could all continue unpacking the stacked boxes in various rooms throughout the house. Gosh, looking back, that seems like a long time ago.

Our publication has evolved a bit over the past couple of years, too. This month we’ve opened a new dining and entertaining section, designed specifically for our new advertisers who are anxious to satisfy your

palate. I hope you’ll take note and patronize all of our advertiser’s goods and services. The businesses and restaurants you find in these pages are the reasons that My Hometown Estrella can continue to this connec-tion to your community each and every month.

Many things have transformed since our move-in date into Estrella three years ago. An abundance of memories have been made within the walls of the place we now call our home. And, like you, we’ve watched and felt the forces of the grip that the sag-ging economy has placed around us and have seen friends come and some go. Yet, we can still find many reasons to feel gratitude for the special people in our lives, and for the opportunity to live in such a great community.

When my daughter Bailey drew the longer straw that day, she turned over the bigger bedroom to her sister without ever looking back in regret. I am still amazed at the gesture of her thoughtfulness. This month, celebrate with me, the gratitude for the small ways that family and community bring richness to our lives.

On saturday, september 26, the city of goodyear transformed from all-

america city to the fitness capital of the state, as goodyear in action Day

promoted fitness and superior health at a variety of motivating events

throughout the city. this special promotional day invited the entire city

population to get moving! and moving is an understatement! events

began at 7 am and spread into the evening hours at a variety of stations.

there was no excuse not to participate on this day dedicated to fitness

for all ages.

the 3rd annual kids triathlon here in estrella was one of the events

that kept goodyear moving! we had the opportunity to meet a few

of the athletes who overwhelmingly admitted that they had practiced

the courses with their parents prior to the competition before and after

school hours as stated by nine-year-old alexxandra petrella, pictured in

swim cap. many had also been participants in last year’s triathlon, so

they knew just what to expect in terms of the three courses. the general

consensus was that although obtaining the medal did take some prepa-

ration, many participants did not give up pizza as part of their prelimi-

nary training! it was definitely a “moving” day, as parents and volunteers

worked together to cheer on the athletes.

additional events of the day included, but were not limited to, a three-

mile rawhide at wild horse pass morning walk, the great ruler relay,

estrella regional park’s walk with the mayor, and an instructional

lacrosse clinic, courtesy of shawn alexander with the estrella lacrosse

club.

Submitted by Estrella Resident, Molly Alexander

Like everyone else, the past couple of years have been tough and humbling for me: losing jobs, having surgeries, opening a business, closing a business...you get the picture. In the middle of this chaos, I find myself drifting farther and farther away from appreciating the joyful possibilities life holds, focusing instead on what is missing from my own preconceived idea of what my life should be. In short, I have forgotten to take inventory of the seemingly small joys that make up the moments of my life. So I’m giving myself a time out today. I’m taking the opportunity to quietly sit and contemplate those things that are truly important to me: my faith, my

family, my friends - in short, my life. Trite, I know, but true nonetheless. Surprisingly, I also find myself grateful for the struggles; for I know my char-acter is growing through the process. Without doubt I will make it through this season – I am confident of this. What will my life look like when it is over? That’s a great question, and one I’m not prepared to answer yet. I will be changed - no doubt about that. And change is good.

It was Susan Green’s daughter, Abby, who first discovered their owl friend (see cover photo). He had landed on the back fence during dinner time. The Greens were amazed to see an owl up close. “The entire family ran to the nearest window with camera in tow,” remembers Susan. The owl stayed in the Green’s backyard as a semi-permanent fixture for the following two weeks and was appropriately named “Hooty.” The Green family witnessed Hooty preening himself upon his perch routinely.

Apparently, Hooty spread the word about the Green’s backyard safe haven and momma bobcat and her two little cubs followed, romping around the family pool. “The cubs like to play on our planter above our pool while momma bobcat keeps watch of her babies.”

The Greens were delighted to watch the real-life zoo type habitat in their backyard and learned a few things about the animals. Susan recalls, “Hooty knew that 8 am was cool-off time and showed up like clock-work when the sprinklers turned on. After his bath, Hooty routinely sat in the cool grass. He would dig his talons into the dirt and sit for hours on end. Hooty retreated to a tree on the golf course and spent most of the day there. By mid afternoon, he was gone. I have no idea where he would go, but he would return as the sun was setting. He would use our view fence to watch over the golf course for his latest prey.”

The Green family was instructed not to feed the animals by the Arizona Game and Fish Department, but to put water out for them, as these visits occurred during the hottest days of July. “After watching Hooty for a few days, I noticed that he never touched the water, so I decided to remove it when the bobcats paid their first visit.”

Backyard wildlife – something to hoot about

It was when Valley resident Tony Arnold seemed to be plummeted into the deepest darkest corner in his life that The Light Upon My Path was born. His marriage was over, he had no job and no way to provide for his baby girl. It was at that moment when Tony called out, “Either take me or use me now.” He awoke later that night with an unexplainable urge to write. “What am I supposed to write?” he asked. “Write down what I tell you,” came the answer. His story is a dialogue between himself and God. Readers will travel through a meaningful journey as the author dis-covers letting go of fear and judgment moving to a more meaningful place of peace and wisdom.

The author of a newly released book, The Light Upon My Path, has discovered a completely new outlook on life. “When a person’s awareness is expanded with an epiphany, they never look at things as they used to.” Tony is enlightened by the testimonies he gets from people all over the world that have read his book. His awareness has been expanded with his mystical experi-

ence. He claims that things don’t look at all as they used to. “It’s an awesome experience to see the world as it really is and to receive it absolutely,” states the author.

Tony Arnold walked away from corporate America to pursue the dream of making a difference in people’s lives, claiming that a new door opens for him almost daily. He shares his beliefs and an inspired message that we are guided by Divine Intelligence and claims that we can only respond to what occurs, as it occurs. “The only way our desired realities won’t become manifested realities, rather rapidly, is because we take the process out of God’s hands, try-

ing to do it our own way.” Tony is planning an inspi-rational talk and book signing at Estrella’s South Lake Pavilions on Sunday, November 8 from 1-3 pm. For more information, visit Tony Arnold at www.spiritualawakening101.com. The Light Upon My Path is also available on Amazon.com.

Sponsored by not-for-profit Hospice of the Valley, the forum will be held from 8:30 am to noon on November 11 at Tuscany Falls at Pebble Creek, 16262 Clubhouse Dr., Goodyear. Seating is limited. shop local and keep your dollars working for you

It’s time again for our annual Shop Goodyear, Everyone GAINs campaign, encouraging local residents and visitors to spend locally. Residents are invited to enter weekly drawings for a chance to win great prizes from participat-ing businesses. Just drop receipts from Goodyear merchants totaling $25 or more into a box at Goodyear City Hall, 190 N. Litchfield Road. Grand Prizes include diamond stud earrings from Osborne Jewelers, a stay at the new TownePlace Suites, and $150 wine tasting from Ground Control. Drawings will be held on December 23 at City Hall. Winners need not be present, but participants must be 18 years or older to enter. By shopping at local businesses, Goodyear residents help keep their dollars right here, working for them. Retail sales tax dollars make up nearly 30 percent of the city’s operating budget and pay for police, fire, streets, parks and recreation. “It’s very ‘green’ behavior. You’ll save money on fuel costs by driving shorter distances to shop, and help reduce the number of vehicles on the road-ways,” said Barbra Coffee, retail business manager for the City of Goodyear.

Prize Sponsors: Osborne Jewelers, TownePlace Suites by Marriott, Dino’s Greek & Italian Restaurant, Wildflower Bread Company,Majerle’s Sports Grill, Ground Control Coffee & Wine Bar, Nakama Sushi Restaurant & Lounge, RideNow Powersports, Augie’s Sports Grill, and Bella Luna Italian Ristorante.

For contest rules and to print entry forms, visit www.goodyearaz.gov, and click on Shop Goodyear under Business. For more information or to partici-pate, contact Barbra Coffee at 623-882-7903.

annual shop & Drop food Drive

Don’t miss this year’s Shop & Drop Food Drive scheduled for Saturday, November 14 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Estrella Mountain Church. Shoppers are asked to bring a non perishable food item and, in return, will receive a raffle ticket to enter a drawing for services from Blossom Day Spa, Fritzi’s Heart and Soul BBQ and other products. You’ll be delighted to shop among a variety of vendors offering products from Cookie Lee Jewelry, Silpada Designs, Partylite and Gold Canyon Candles, Avon and more. Estrella Resident, Harris Fritzi will be firing up his smoker, in hopes of gathering the whole community for his authentic BBQ. The Red Cross will also be at the Shop and Drop to help save lives this holiday season, as blood donations are generally down this time of year. We are hoping to break our record of last year’s 47 blood donors, which made us #1 in the state for that week. Get creative with your non-perishable donation. Rather than the standard can of green beans, consider boxed cereal, bottled waters, flour and sugar-to name just a few ideas. Bring the whole family shopping. Everyone will be delighted with the variety of price points offered by the various vendors. For more information on the event or to become a vendor, please contact DeNice Watkins at 623-393-8331 or email [email protected].

walking school Bus

It was all about good health and safer streets at Estrella Mountain Elementary as over 500 students, staff and parents got out of their cars and walked, biked, scooted and boarded to school on September 30th. Participants met up at various predetermined locations at 7 am and began walking to school along identified safe routes. Kelly Cain, Physical Education teacher and organizer of the event, encouraged her students, par-ents and staff to participate in the nationally recognized program ‘Walking School Bus’. “My goal was to provide our community with a chance to both socialize and exercise. Both these things are important in staying healthy.” In addition to walking, some students took it to the next level, based on recommendations from ‘Walking School Bus’ website. Two kids were heard cheering, “You walk, you rock!” while holding up their posters.

Upon arriving to school, students were greeted by staff and directed to an all school assembly in the outside auditorium where they gathered to listen to music, hear the morning announcements and say the pledge of allegiance. Principal Dave Bogart addressed all attendees sharing his excitement to the success of this event. “One of our buses reported only having 12 kids on it this morning who live over two miles away from school. That is wonderful.” With students, staff and parents gathered in the center of campus, wearing school colors, the spirit of Estrella Mountain Elementary could be heard and seen. “We had an amazing turn out this morning, not only with students who participated, but parents, as well as the Goodyear Police Department,” said Bogart. “Being a neighborhood school has a special feel to it and having so many come together this way was fantastic!”

The program is maintained by the Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center for the Partnership for a Walkable America, in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Transportation. The program highlights research that continues to show the correlation between an increase in physical activity and positive academic outcomes in the classroom. “Estrella is located in a perfect neighborhood to support this event,” said Cain. “We have great sidewalks, marked crosswalks and many parents that accompany their chil-dren to and from school.” Cain hopes families will continue to maintain this healthy habit all year long. For more information, parents can go to www.walkingschoolbus.org.

Like many grandfathers, Estrella resident, Alex Romero, is proud of his grandson. And one thing that is certainly universal among Grandfathers - they enjoy bragging about their grandchildren. So, if you happen to sit beside Alex Romero on a park bench somewhere here in the community, you’ll be “heightened” by true stories of accomplishments that his grandson is achieving around the world. Jordan Romero, age 13, has given his grandpa some pretty great reasons to be impressed. Jordan’s dream began at his home in Big Bear, California at the age of eight. The elementary school student was admiring a mural on one of the walls at school. The artwork depicted the Seven Summits of the world. When he told his father that he wanted to climb all of them, that was when his training began. His list of accom-plishments already has check marks on the tallest mountains in Africa and Australia! In fact, he has already reached the summits of five continents of the world and is saving the best for last - Mount Everest in 2010.

So far, Jordan has reached the summits of: Kilimanjaro (Africa), Mt. Koscivsko (Australia), Elbrus (Russia), Aconcagua (Argentina), Denali (Alaska), Cartensz Pyramid (Indonesia), completed on September 1, 2009, Vincen Massif (Anartica) and finally, the big one, Mt. Everest in July of 2010. At the age of thirteen, this will be a record! The middle school student’s father, Paul, and step-Mom, Karen, climb right alongside Jordan, helping him accomplish his dream mentally and physically. Both are actively involved in his training and climbing. Jordan’s father, Paul, is a Paramedic and outdoorsman who also loves to run and kayak. Karen, an educator, is the photographer and narrator on each of the team’s adventures. Paul recently went to Mt. Everest to facilitate the plan and set up living conditions for next summer’s Mt. Everest climb.

“Team Jordan,” as the three call themselves, always climb without oxygen, which is also a rare feat for mountain climbers. In order to accomplish this, Jordan trains back at home in Big Bear, California by sleeping in a special tent that lowers the oxygen level that is avail-able to him. Another way he prepares himself is by climbing up local mountains near his home with a tire tied to his waist. These methods of training allow him to acclimatize to the conditions of the snowy summits that he faces, pre-paring the young climber both physically and mentally for what lies ahead.

The middles school student maintains his education on his climbs and speaks to students at his school back home, as well as adult groups about his ordeals. Jordan’s grandfather claims that Jordan’s love of getting outdoors and being active, along with his wonderful active spirit, adds to his eagerness to meet and conquer each summit. Jordan’s climbs are blogged to enable students in his classroom back home and interested well-wishers to hear and learn about his day-to-day climbing experiences. Visit his personal website at www.jordanromero.com to follow this outstanding youngster’s accomplishments.

Jordan’s climbing accomplishments have been noted in magazines, includ-ing Sports Illustrated, Backpacker, and Time for Kids. He has also been a guest on Nightline and the Martha Stewart Show. Jordan’s grandparents, Alex and Joan Romero, who live here in Estrella, have lived in Arizona for the past fifty years.

now that you have had a chance to explore the new community website www.lifeinestrella.com, we are showcasing one of the site features. the “group” tab is locat-ed at the top of the homepage. when you select the groups page, you will see a list of all current active groups and a short descrip-tion of each. if you find a group that you are interested in join-ing, click the ‘Join now’ link. an email indicating your interest and contact information will be sent to the group administrator for approval. to submit a request to form a new group, you have to be logged in as a resident. next, go to the group page that lists all current groups. at the bottom of the page there is a ‘request a new group form’. Once you complete the form and select the submit button, your request will be sent to a community administrator who will review your request and approve the group. You will then be able to load articles, events, photos, and email your members from your group page. if you are interested in starting a group and would like to have a walk though, please contact [email protected] to set up a time.

whether you like to shop garage sales or sell your wares, your oppor-tunity is coming saturday, november 7 from 7 am - 2 pm. please stop by the community services Office before november 5 to fill out your registration form and pay $5 (cash only please). for your convenience, you can also go to www.lifeinestrella.com and print out your registra-tion form from the Document library. a map will also be provided to all detailing the location of homes participating in the sale at starpointe the morning of the event.

hOw impOrtant is rsvping tO events?

this is a call to the community for help. we need to come together to assure that our community events are successful, fun, and efficient. please rsvp for events in advance. this enables us to have an accurate count for the purchase of food and supplies. last month at the community campout, we had approximately 60 people sign up in advance. however, on the day of the event, we had another 100 peo-ple sign up. this makes it very difficult to be prepared. trying to anticipate how many people will sign up on the day of the event is difficult at best. we don’t want to turn people away because we don’t have enough food and we don’t want to over purchase either. pre-registering can elimi-nate all of these problems. this small process will assure that we are not over spending by trying to anticipate participation and/or not purchasing enough to accommodate everyone. let’s work together as a team to have fun and efficient events. give us a call at 623-386-1949 or stop by starpointe and reserve your spot for the next estrella event.

During October properties in estrella were reviewed by the covenants department to deter-mine if the front yard landscape contains the required amount of trees, plants and shrubs as required by the estrella governing documents and cc&r’s. letters will be sent in november to those properties that do not meet these minimum requirements.

Owners will be given until December 31st, 2009 to com-ply with these requirements.Download your modification application on our website at www.lifeinestrella.com under the docu-ment library. communication is key, if an owner has a specific need or situation, please call us as soon as possible at 623-386-1112, so that we may have the oppor-tunity to assist you.

Security Devices

residents are continuously seeking the latest technologies to keep their home and families safe and secure. many homeowners may not be aware that they have the option of adding a security system to their homes. keep in mind that security devices which are visible from the street, side-walk, or common area, including, without limitation, burglar bars for windows and doors must be approved by the Design review committee (Drc). contact Jodi matlock at 623-386-1112 or email at [email protected] if

than the builder. until that time, individual homeowners will cast their own votes. Once a neigh-borhood is required to elect a voting member, the lack of a voting member impedes the vot-ing process.

voting members are selected via neighborhood elections on an annual basis, and serve a term of one year or until a successor is elected. elections occur in December via ballots mailed to the residents.

if you would like to volunteer for your neighborhood, please submit your application to the community services Office by December 1, 2009. Download your application from the com-munity website, www.lifeinestrel-la.com, located in the Document library, under applications and forms, or at the community services Office.

Safety Reminder

as a reminder and safety pre-caution, residents are encour-aged to visit their mailbox daily to empty its contents. with the quickly setting sun, and dark skies policy it is best to do this before the dinner hour…or carry a flash-light. mailboxes are a target for theft during the holiday season. remember to always be aware of your surroundings and call 911 or 623-932-1220 when something seems out of place or suspicious.

Get Ready for Winter ColorOne of the advantages of our climate is that we can

have bright, colorful flowers in our gardens all winter long. when temperatures are consistently less than 100 degrees, it is time to plant your winter flowers. plan to prepare your flower beds for new flowers two weeks prior to planting.

soil preparation is essential to growing winter annuals successfully. make sure your planting bed drains well. then, add organic amendments such as peat moss or compost; a variety of mulch products are available at home improvement stores. spread a 4-inch layer of mulch over the bed and mix it into a depth of 12 inches. fertilizer and sulfur can be worked into the soil at the same time. use sulfur-coated urea or ammonium phosphate (16-2-0) at 1-3 pounds per 100 square feet of bed area and 3 pounds of sulfur per 100 square feet.

there are many types of plants to choose from for winter color in the low desert. sweet alyssum and lobelia work well around the edge of your flower beds. calendulas, geraniums, pansies and petunias also pro-vide a variety of color during the cooler months. at the nursery, select younger plants because they have spent less time in the container than tall, leggy plants. Be sure to choose flowers that are best suited to the sunlight available at the location of your flower bed (full sun, partial sun, constant shade).

prior to planting, water the bed well. plant when the soil is still moist, but not saturated with water. You may want to carefully open the sides of the root ball with

neighborhood voting members serve an important role in the community. their purpose and duties are out-lined in the eca and vca gov-erning documents (the cc&r Declaration and By-laws), and while all residents are encour-aged to read the documents, below is a summary of what the documents say as it relates to homeowners and their vot-ing rights.

each homeowner is a mem-ber of the association, and is authorized one vote for their unit, with their vote being cast by a voting member represent-ing their neighborhood. this voting member may cast all such votes as it, in its discre-tion deems appropriate. issues typically requiring homeown-er votes include electing resi-dent members to the Board of Directors, approving changes to the governing documents, and approving special assessments.

neighborhoods hold their first election for voting members after 50% of the property has been conveyed to owners other

your fingers to promote quicker root growth into the soil of the bed. as you plant, make sure the stem of the plant is at the same depth in the bed as it was in the container. water the bed well immediately after planting and continue to water daily. in sunny spots, you may need to water twice a day if temperatures remain high. as the winter progresses, reduce the amount of water as temperatures cool. lastly, apply a pre-emergent herbicide to the bed for weed control. we suggest preen, a brand that can be found at most gardening stores.

to maintain a good looking flower bed throughout the winter, it is best to fertilize monthly with ammonium phosphate. also, deadhead the flowers as their blossoms fade. to do this, pinch the faded blossom off the stem right at the base of the flower. this will keep the bed looking fresh and also promotes the growth of new blossoms.

white alyssums, red geraniums and purple lobelias offer color in the winter months

the colbornesLike most of us, John, Susie, Olivia and Victoria love to spend the

Thanksgiving holiday with extended family members. For the Colbornes, this means a trip to Southern California to share a traditional turkey

dinner and all the trim-mings with grandparents. Susie’s sister and her fam-ily, who are also Estrella residents, join in the cara-van adven-ture back to Riverside for the gathering.

John claims that one year Susie was in charge of cooking the traditional turkey feast. When it was time to sit down for dinner, they discovered that Susie had forgotten to turn on the oven! Needless to say, dinner was served very late in the evening that year. “Before the meal, we always go around the table to say what we are thankful for in life. I love that about Thanksgiving - it is a reminder of how blessed we have been,” says Susie.

The Colborne family moved to Estrella eight years ago from San Diego,

California. Initially, it was Susie’s job as a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines that brought the family here. John, who is fortunate enough to work from home, was told about the Estrella community by his brother-in-law, Phil, who was the architect for Jack Nicklaus on the golf course here (Golf Club of Estrella) and found it to be a great fit for the family. The Colbornes are resi-dents of the Fairways and share their home with their feline friend, Pee Wee. They thoroughly enjoy the great friends that they have made and especially appreciate how this community feels like a small town, with the conveniences of a large city just down the road. Together, the family of four enjoys catching a movie at the theatre, renting an awesome flick for their personal DVD player, or sharing an occasional holiday get-together with friends in the neighbor-hood. John and Susie are really into their college teams and make an annual trip to see the Auburn Tigers and SMU Mustangs play football and basket-ball. John squeezes in a round of golf each time the opportunity arises and also enjoys coaching freshman basketball at Estrella Foothills High School. Another favorite past-time at the Colborne’s home is when Susie arranges a playgroup for Olivia and Victoria with neighborhood friends. When reminisc-ing about their great neighbors, a specific gesture that John and Susie recall is the time that their cat was lost in the desert, almost six months ago, and neighbors stayed and helped search until the family pet was found. “That meant a lot to us,” recalls Susie.

In addition to being thankful for family, friends and good health, the Colbornes are thankful for “All of the people serving our great country to make it a safer place for us to live!” states John.

Make Ahead Thanksgiving FavoritesFace it, a houseful of extended family is stressful enough. Why worry about

the meal too? A stress-free Thanksgiving dinner begins with items you can make ahead of time. Many traditional holiday recipes are even freezable. If you don’t want to do the cooking yourself, the options are many. Grocery stores and specialty stores offer reasonably priced family meal deals for reheat-able feasts, but you’re locked into the few dishes they offer. Not crazy about the idea of “Feast-in-a-box?” Craving Granny’s sweet potato soufflé? Hire a personal chef. Personal chefs can make your holiday dinner special, from traditional (even using your family’s recipes), to ethnic, to something completely outside the box. Everything can be made by your chef ahead of time while YOU take the credit for it at the table! Here are make-ahead recipes for an appetizer and a dessert your guests will love.

business spotlight

Debbie Hudson and her husband started looking at Arizona as a retirement possibility about five years ago. Being the “researcher” in the family, Debbie spent almost six months looking at the new areas in the West Valley. After purchasing their home here, she and her husband made frequent trips back and forth from California to Arizona for her husband’s job. “Sometimes, we were gone for extended periods of time, so I worried about our air conditioner, the water, and the newspapers pil-ing up,” said the owner of Goodyear HomeWatch. “Just the fact that we were away frequently made me uneasy about our home looking vacant,” she recalls. “I wished that I knew someone I felt comfortable with to take care of those things for me while I was away.” Thus, Debbie began talking to her neighbors in Estrella and discovered that many of her new friends had the same wishes and needs. She enjoyed the fact that she was living in a community where neighbors helped neighbors and began her new business, Goodyear HomeWatch. She now offers services that are valuable to her neighbors in this community; services that she previously desired. Her twenty-five years of previous experience in the residential and commercial cleaning business in Orange County, California made it possible for her to recognize the needs of her customers. “I always treated customers’ businesses and homes like they were my own and I have car-ried that philosophy with me to Goodyear HomeWatch,” says Debbie.

While many of her clients are using their homes in Estrella as second

homes, she also caters to year-round homeowners that may be traveling. With the holidays just around the corner, Goodyear HomeWatch can make sure that packaged deliveries are placed carefully inside. Her service offers security checks on a regular basis; cleaning - even a spruce up for your arrival; airport pick-up services; photographs of your property; along with a variety of customized services to fit your individual needs. As a way of saying thank you, Goodyear HomeWatch discounts her services by $25 for a referral. And, when you mention that you read this ad in My Hometown Estrella, Goodyear HomeWatch will give you a second month of home security check-ups absolutely free!

When asked about a unique situation that required her attention, Debbie recalls a telephone call regarding a bobcat who was lounging on the roof of a home she was caring for. She raced over for a photo, but the animal had disappeared. She then contacted the HOA so that they would be able to report the unexpected visitor to the homeowner. If you are inter-ested in obtaining home watch services, tailored to fit your personal needs, contact Debbie Hudson at Goodyear HomeWatch at 877-318-5351 or [email protected].
