1. Additionofnewfieldtypestocustomforms/surveysWehavenowaddedanumberofnewfieldtypesthatcanbeusedwhenbuildinganycustomform(customformscanbeusedtodesignyourownsurveysandworkflowsforclients,groups,loansorsavingsinthesystem).Thenewfieldtypesincludephotos,checkboxes,signaturefieldsandfileuploads.Toaddanyofthesenewfieldtypestoacustomform,simplyselectyourpreferredfieldtypefromthelistofoptions,asshowninredbelow:

Onceyou’rehappywithyourcustomform,thenclicksave,andyou’llbeabletoaddtheformtoanyclientfromtheclientdetailspageinthemainsystemwebinterface,asshownbelow:

ThenewfieldswillalsoautomaticallysyncwiththeMusoniApp,andcanthereforebefilledoutbyaloanofficerusingtheappinthefield.Anexampleofthisisshowninthescreenshotbelow,takenona7”androidtablet.

2. ConditionFields&FormulasonCustomFormsAlongsidethenewfieldtypes,we’vealsomadeitpossibletomakefieldsoncustomformsconditionalontheinputsenteredinpreviousfields.Youcanalsouseformulafields to carryout cashflowanalysis and calculatebusiness ratios. Seebelow for amoredetailedexplanationofeach:ConditionalFieldsOnceyouhave createda custom form thenyou canedit it tomake specific fieldsconditionalontheoutcomesofother fields.Todothisclick“View”onthecustomformyouwishtoedit,andyouwillseeanewcolumnlabeled“DisplayCondition”,asshowninredbelow:

Onceyouclickonthedisplayconditionicon,youwillhavetheoptiontomakethatparticularfieldconditional.Intheexamplebelow,thefieldisbeingmadeconditionalona“Yes”beingenteredasaresponseontheprevious“DoyouhaveaBusinessfield”.

You can use the formula expressions at the top of the window to use differentconditionalrules.Onceyouhaveenteredyourrule,thenclicksaveandyouwillseetheConditionaliconhasbeenhighlightedintheformoverview,asshownbelow:

Ifyouwouldlikeanytrainingonsettingupconditionalfieldsthenpleasecontactit-support@musoni.eu.FormulaFieldsThesystemcannowautomaticallycarryoutcalculationsincustomforms,usingdataenteredintofieldswithinthesameform.Forexample,ifyouasktheclienttoentertheirweekly income andweekly costs, the system can automatically calculate theclient’snetincome.Toaddaformulafieldtoacustomform,firstaddeitheranewnumberortextfieldto the form(dependingonwhetheryouwishyour formulatodisplayanumberortextastheoutcome),andclick“Submit”.Goback into the form,and clickon the “FormulaExpression” icon for the specificfieldyouwishtobeaformula,asshowninredbelow:

By clicking on the icon, you can then configure the formula of your choice. Theformula used in the example below calculates the net income by subtracting the“WeeklyCosts”fromthe“WeeklyIncome”.

To do this, I first selected the “Weekly Income” field from the “Select a field”dropdown and then clicked “Add”. Then I selected the “-“ icon from the list ofexpressionsatthetopofthemenu,beforefinallyselectingthe“WeeklyCosts”fieldfromthe“SelectaField”dropdown.Ithenclickedsave,andcanseetheformulawassuccessfulastheiconisnowhighlightedgreen.

Whentheformiscompleted(eitherinthesystemorintheMusonitabletapp),thesystem will now automatically calculate the client’s Net Income display it in theform.If you would like any training on setting up formulas then please contact it-support@musoni.eu.

3. IntegrationwithKopoKopo(Kenya)

TheMusoniSystemhasnowbeenintegratedwithKopoKopoinKenya,enablingyoutoautomaticallyreceiveLipanaM-PESApaymentsdirectlyintoMusoni(youcanstillprocessM-PESAPayBillpaymentsdirectlyintheMusoniSystem.To configure the Kopo Kopo integration you need to go to Configuration>MMTServices, and then click on the “Kopo Kopo” tab, before then clicking onConfiguration.

To integrate theMusoni System and Kopo Kopo you need to take theUsername,PasswordandURLgeneratedbyMusoni(andshownontheConfigurationpage)andentertheseintotheKopoKopointerface.YouwillthenbeprovidedwithanAPIKeybyKopoKopothatyouneedtoenterintotheMusoniSystemontheConfigurationpage.

Onceyouclicksavethenthetwosystemswillbeintegrated.

4. SMSBusinessRulesWe’veaddedanumberofnewbusinessrulestotheSMSmodule,making iteasierthaneverforyoutosendoutrelevantmessagestoyourclients.Anoverviewofthenewrulesisgivenbelow:

• Loans Outstanding after final instalment date – use this rule to send messages to clients who have an active loan (with an outstanding balance) between X to Y days after the final instalment date on their loan schedule.

• Loan Fully Repaid – use this rule to send messages to clients who have fully repaid a loan (Closed or Overpaid) in the last X to Y days

AdditionofMaker-CheckerfunctionalityforSavingsTransactionsIt is now possible for you to enable maker-checker functionality on both savingsdeposits and savings withdrawals.When enabled, this means that any deposit orwithdrawalwillrequireapprovalbeforebeingprocessedinthesystem.To enable maker-checker on savings transactions, go to Configuration>AccessManagementandclickonthe“Maker-CheckerPermissions”tab.SelecttheSavingsModule,andclickonthecheckboxnexttosavingsdepositsorwithdrawals,asshowninredbelow:

Onceselected,whenyoudepositorwithdrawanysavingsyouwillbetoldthattheactionis“SubmittedandAwaitingApproval”.Inthesamewayasanyotheractionspending approval, you can view and approve all pending savings deposits orwithdrawalsbyclickingonthePendingTasksfromtheDashboard.

6. ManuallyPostSavingsInterestThe system normally posts interest in line with the configuration of the postingperiod foreachparticular savingsproduct (typicallymonthlyorquarterly).Youarenow able to manually post any interest accrued on a savings account. This isexpected to be used when a customer is closing their account and wishes towithdrawthebalanceandanyinterestinthemiddleofyourpostingperiod.You canmanually post accrued interest onto a savings account by clicking on the“PostInterest”buttonontheSavingsAccountDetailspage,asshowninredbelow.
