The further development of the Museums à la carte database was carried out as part of the Museum and Library Development for Everyone (identifica-tion number: EFOP-3.3.3-VEKOP-16-2016-00001) priority project’s museum component entitled Our museum .

The Museum and Library Development for Every-one project’s professional implementers are dedi-cated to enhancing the role of equal opportunities, closing the gap between disadvantaged people and their peers and ensuring that everyone has equal access to cultural goods.

Instead of browsing on the museum’s website or Facebook page, users can use one sole platform to search among hun-dreds of Hungarian museum institutions’ events:

• o� ering more than 2.500 museum education programmes

• nearly 1000 exhibitions

ON OUR MENU• helping teachers of diff erent schools

prepare for museum education sessions and professional development courses

• customised searching according to age, school subject, region or even special target groups, e.g. kids ranging from kindergarteners to students in higher education

• information regarding opportunities to perform school community service at museum institutions, summer camps organised by museums, programmes off ered to visitors on holidays and special dates

• continuously expanding database thanks to newly registered museums

• a user-friendly platform optimised for smartphones and made accessible to disabled people

• an IT development project which has earned international acclaim on multiple occasions (in 2016, the Museums à la carte was among 22 EU Member States’ 43 best practices related to culture).
