I asked my dad, longtom, to help find me an app thatwould play my sheet music and he stumbled uponMuseScore. This is great for musicians of any kind... even drummers. It can display tabs and doeshave a LOT of instruments available.

The great thing about MuseScore is that it has a lotof scores available at the web site. You can also visitthe official website at http://musescore.com. You canalso “watch” video scores, where the score isdisplayed on the left side of the screen, and itfollows along with the video that is displayed in theright side of the screen. To make a new project, you can use the wizard. It isvery user friendly.

So, here is a short lookinto it. At the start, youchoose the composerand lyricist, which is amust when you want topost it on the .comwebsite for other users. This will also make it alot easier to find.

Here you can choose tostart from scratch or usea template. We will use atemplate. When you usea template, you willchoose from a couple ofsheetformats and thenchoose your sharps orflats.

This is a handy app. What makes it different fromother score apps is that it plays every instrument.Just one more thing. MuseScore can display tabs, drumlines and LOTS of other instruments. Also, alot of tutorials are available on YouTube.
