Composer's note

The descants contained in this volume were written in February and March 2012, with

the exception of Blaenwern, a one-off from May the previous year. All have newly-

composed organ parts save Lux eoi, whose original harmonies (two 4-3 suspensions

notwithstanding) are retained. Both Nun danket and Richmond are for full SATB choir,

the other ten being for sopranos alone.
