This Mural art is draw by ‘’The Two Queen’’, which is Deborah Tan and Ellie Yong.They became the grand prize winner in the wall art competition 2015

Deborah Tan, 21 years old, born in Malaysia and currently in third and final year in The One Academy, majoring in Digital Animation. She hope can distribute big time to the 2D animation industry one day.

Ellie Yong, 21 years old, born in malaysia. She is an inquisitive creature curious about the little functions of the world, intrested in telling storyes in pictures. She also would like to become a cover illustrator for books and other merchandise.

It’s like Preserving the peace in a oderless world is like keeping a lantern burning in the dark

Ignite for those who can seek for the strength to forgive the past, and look for tomorrow.

This painting actually tries to convey the message about the beauty of a peaceful Malaysia in all its fragile wonder.

#4.The Concept Of The Art Work 1. Conflict

the light from the lantern is in conflict with the darkness. (The artist uses a calm and collected girl lighting up the darkness.)

2. Closure

we tend to assume that the girl is living a happy life, because of her peaceful smile.(forgive and forget)

3. Selective attention

the focal point is not on the girl but on the brightly burning lantern.

4. Self-disclosure

understand more about yourself, forgiving others is the first step to forgiving yourself.

5. Substituting

The word ‘peace’ is replaced by the lantern to help illustrate the message.

The artist who painted this Significant mural art is Lyla, at Restoran Ipoh Sedap, Jln SS2/63.

She was also one of the participant that took place for The ‘Bestnya Malaysiaku‘ wall art competition and got the second runner-up for her creation.

For the longest time, Indian barbers have been styling the hair of Malaysian men and boys. They are a part and percel of Malaysian culture.

Kedai Gunting Rambut Lyla is a mural combined with installation art, depicting the ambience inside a barber shop which has likely remained the same for the last 30 years.

Typically features include an old school squre mirrior, checked floor and barber pole, as well as framed photos of ‘70s artistes such as P. Ramlee.

At George Town, Penang

#1.Artist Background

Ernest Zacharevic is a young Lithuania-born artist who is ‘making a scene’ on the streets of George Town, Penang. This comes into form of beautifully executed wall paintings, or mural, at the selected streets in the inner city. The project, known as mirrors George Town, is part of George Town Festival 2012

Ernest Zacharevic’s wall paintings in George Town include figure drawings and portraitures drawing that celebrate the exuberance of life in the inner city.

It ranged from the pensive ‘little children on a bicycle’, ‘the waiting trishaw pedaller’ and ‘reaching up’.

This photo features the life of a trishaw pedaler spending his free time resting on his own trishaw.

Back in the days, trishaws were used to transport people with higher status and rich. This mode of transportation has been passed down since then but with a little twist.

Nowadays trishaw has become a mode of transportation for tourists to venture around Penang island.

A large scale of the information imparting to a wide range of people.

It shows the relationship with the lower and upper class of society

3. Figure and Ground

It shows only the trishaw and the trishaw paddler, no info about his moods or his business situation. It’s all up to your interpretation.

From his posture, he looks like he is waiting for costumers

5. Connotative meaning

IT shows the ability to continue with their lives and commitment to their job that has already become a part of their life despite their old age.

Ernest Zacharevic It was drew by Ernest Zacharevic on 30 May of 2014 and it can be found along the Armenian Street which on the wall of the I-Box Museum of Glass, Also face the Soo Hong Lane and another street rod Sculpture.

meaning I love you Malay

Indian.

This mural depict three ladies with religion traditional elaborate costume in Malaysia which are Chinese, Indian and Malay.

Those costumes are the primary races in Malaysia.

It shows the concept of creating a space of relationship between three major cultures in Malaysia, the 1 Malaysia concept helps enhance the interaction between each other.

It shows the concept of perception in their friendly smile, good emotional and good relationship of three ladies by viewer perceptive.

It shows the concept of Intercultural Communications by Contrasting the different religion and costumes create a sense of dialogue between them.

Three girls are smiling, which indicates they are at peace, and not discriminating each other.
