I dent if ied a niche in the market and founded an independent Project Management and Property Development Consult ing Company to service nat ional and foreign investors and developers wishing to assure themselves that their interests were protected and that their projects developed according to qualit y, budget and t ime const raints.

Saved a combined amount in excess of €35m represent ing 8.75%.

MDCI Project Managers has delivered over 2,300 units on 40 dif ferent projects, totalling investment budgets of €400m- all delivered on t ime and on – or below – budget .

Responsible for establishment of the company’s f irst three European projects, comprising 550 units with a combined investment value of $180m. I nterfaced with U.S. execut ives to integrate Marr iot t standards and procedures into a new market . Saved $4m.

Recruited and led Design, Engineering, I nter ior Design, Const ruct ion Management and Procurement consultants to produce projects on t ime, under budget and according to Marr iot t qualit y standards. I n conjunct ion with Senior Vice President -Europe, reported f inancial and schedule status to Board in USA and obtained support f rom Vice President -Project Delivery Group to implement ef fect ive development st rategies.

Proposed, negot iated and implemented a value engineering review process result ing in further savings of $2m. Managed the MVCI technical staf f and ef fect ively monitored 3 parallel projects 1,000 miles apart .

Tendered and led negot iat ions of mult i-million$ const ruct ion, service and FF&E cont racts. Produced development forecasts and integrated updated sales pace into development schedule, deliver ing phases faster and cheaper, saving an addit ional $2m on the CAPEX.

Development Director

Global was a U.S.-owned property developer and major player in the leisure property development business in Spain and the USA.

Execut ive member of the group’s UK/ US management team, cont r ibuted to st rategic planning, set up and managed of the Group’s own property development division.

Responsible for ident ifying and developing new business, overall cont rol of const ruct ion process on new developments, budget preparat ion and Project Management st rategy.

Saved the company £4m on previously projected budgets and all projects were const ructed, equipped and occupied on t ime.

Appointed to the company’s Spanish operat ion and assumed managerial responsibilit y for a failing project of 80 luxury apartments which Sunley had acquired.

Report ing to the Project Director, negot iated with architects, local authorit ies and suppliers to upgrade the project to Sunley’s internat ionally expected standards.

Developed a dynamic sales and market ing st rategy aimed at raising the company’s market prof ile. Negot iated an exclusive f inancial package for our purchasers.

£6m (1986 f igures) project developed and sold out 6 months ahead of schedule.
