MS4 level :                               Letter of Complaint.                  File One  Warmer: The teacher greets his learners and welcomes them, then invites them to talk about the last séance .  Brainstorming: The teacher invites the learners to think about the topic of the lesson through pictures showing the topic.  The teacher invites the learners to discuss the topic and reports on the board all the learners’ suggestions.  The teacher introduces the Situation of Integration through :

Planning Stage: The teacher invites the learners to plan their ideas in a table to make them elicit all the ideas about the problem exposed . Format   Problem   Causes   Complaint to  Expressions  Grammar The layout of a complaint letter  

Step 1: Clearly state the facts of  your complaint. 

Step 2: discuss why you are so unhappy/upset. Step 3: suggest solutions to the problem.

Function: Complaining (Letter of complaint)  Language form : Simple present, would ( polite request), imperative , time sequencers.  Vocabulary : Vocabulary related to food waste garbage.  Visual aids: Pictures and flashcards showing garbage and dirty cities.  Aim: By the end of this lesson the learners will be able to write a letter of complaint 

 Each morning you see your local streets dirty and full of garbage.  You want to react to such problem.  Write a letter of complaint to your local authorities talking about 

this problem.  Write about: 

The problem (food waste)  The causes: 

Inhabitants’ behaviour.  Lack of food cans  Food trucks 

The solutions:  campaign  to clean streets and cities  information day about food waste  impose fines on persons who pollute .

  Drafting: (writing the first draft)by looking at the plans, the students st

art writing their  essays. they may change the order of their main supports, or rearrange their minor supports if  there is  always a mistake either in the organization or in the grammar  or the choice/form  of the vocabulary. This leads the learners to editing.   

Editing : Teacher invites  to learners to check their mistakes ‐Editing steps :   *Grammar and spelling :   ‐check their spelling    ‐check their  grammar.         ‐read  their letter again  *Style and organization :   ‐Make sure their letter has an introduction.   ‐Check that you have a opening sentence that identifies the main idea   of the letter .   ‐ check that all their paragraphs follow the paragraph format   ‐See if their letter is interesting.  ‐ Publishing :  The learners are invited to present their letters to the whole class, then reports on the board the best one.

Dear Sir,      I am writing to complain about food waste pollution. Every morning, I see our streets and city full of garbage thrown everywhere .     To my surprise I see people throwing garbage at any  time, and not in garbage cans. The garbage trucks have no specific time.         I would demand immediate actions to stop this.  I suggest a campaign  to clean streets and cities make  an  information day about food waste and set fines on person who pollute our environment .          Thanking you in advance                                                           Yours Sincerely
