COMPLAINTS: All complaints shall be made directly to Metro Services by calling 985-359-2116.
items accepted include:
Corrugated Cardboard (NO Pizza boxes)
Cardboard must be free of contaminates, such as packing materials, styrofoam, and plastic. Must be folded and flattened.
Glass will NOT be taken at these locations.
GARBAGE PLACEMENTPer Ordinance 12-34: “Garbage cans or containers may not be placed at street not sooner than 12:00 Noon on the day before the scheduled collection day, and must be removed from street by 12:00
Noon on the day following collection.”
CONTRACTORSContractors working in residential
areas are responsible for discarding their material.
HOLIDAYSNo Garbage Collection on Sundays, New Year’s Day, Mardi Gras Day, Memorial Day,
Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas day. Garbage collected within 48
hours after a holiday.

Recyclable Plastic Water, Soda, & Juice Bottles, Milk Jugs, Shampoo, Conditioner, & Liquid Soap Bottles, Detergent Bottles, Bleach & All Purpose Cleaner Bottles, Yogurt & Margarine Tubs
Parish Recycle YardResidents can bring up to 5 tires a day to the yard. The recycle yard is opened from 7 to 3:00 Monday – Saturday and is manned.
