Fairy Tale Story Project Ms. Marrocco 6 th grade ELA Your assignment is to choose one of the two (2) choices below to write your fairy tale. You must follow the guidelines below as well as the “Elements of a Fairy Tale” in order to receive a passing grade. Please read the instructions below and follow them. CHOICES: A. Rewrite an existing fairy tale (all elements same as original) from another character’s point of view. B. Rewrite an existing fairy tale in a different setting (time and place). You must also follow the guidelines below in order to complete your Fairy Tale: 1. All Fairy Tales MUST have a Title Page. Your Title Page MUST also include the Title, Author, and Illustrator (if applicable). Your story Title should be creative, should spark interest, original and it needs to be related to the story. The title should still convey the original tale being told. 2. Illustrations are not mandatory but are welcomed in order to bring your story to life. 3. All Fairy Tales MUST be neatly presented (either very clear/neat handwriting or typed - you will lose points if the story is not presented clearly). 4. When typing or writing your story, you must follow these guidelines. You need to use a font size no smaller than 14 and no bigger than 16. You should use a font that is EASY TO READ. Your story MUST be double-spaced, not single-spaced Your story should be minimum 3 and maximum 7 pages long. You are also reminded about “The Writing Process.” In order to have a really good story you must follow the correct steps when writing, please look at the following steps in order to help you with your writing. 1.
