Greetings from the 5th Floor

This issue of the newsletter finds us rapidly approaching a long break from school. Many of us will be traveling near and/or far to reconnect with friends and family. Some of us have holidays that we are looking forward to and all of us deserve a little downtime to rest, rejuvenate, and just relax to prepare us for what lies ahead as there is still much to accomplish before your child heads off to the next phase of their education whether it be here in Qingdao or somewhere else …
Key Assignment: This I BelieveAlicia and I would like to thank all the parents, extended family, friends, administration, teachers and their classes that were able to venture to the fifth floor to experience the event. We thank you and the kids thank you as well. It meant so much to all of us that you could take time out of your busy day to attend. If you were unable to make the event, please ask your child about it. It was a highlight of the year for many of them. Also, Alicia and I will place some pictures of the event on the class website.
New Schedule ~ Effective Monday, 3 December 2012With approval of the LS principal and the director, Alicia and I will be combing the 5th grade students into a more traditional team teaching format. Alicia will still be the lead for Math and Science, while I head up the Humanities. We are excited to begin this for several reasons, but some of them are that the kids will have Math and Literature everyday! See back of newsletter =)
