• Alle skibe bygget efter 2025 bliver en
del af vores 2050 flåde. De skal derfor
kunne retrofittes til karbon neutrale
brændstoffer
• Det første dedikerede karbon neutrale
skib skal leveres i 2030, efterfulgt af
et langsomt ramp-up som tillader
modning af både teknologi og supply
chain
• Fra 2045 skal alle skibe i flåden kunne
retrofittes til karbon neutral drift

Baggrund:
I shipping har vi traditionelt set været vant til at bruge ét brændstof (bunker fuel: ca. 330 mio tons/ år). Vi
ser nu på scenarier hvor flere forskellige typer af brændstoffer og energisystemer er i spil. I 2019
launchede A.P. Møller-Mærsk ”Eco Delivery”. Gennem Eco Delivery tester vi i øjeblikket bæredygtige
brændstoffer i markedet, og vi oplever stor interesse.
Anbefaling:
Vi har behov for global regulering, som kræver CO2 reduktion fra alle rederier, ligesom der skal arbejdes
for at skabe rammer for brug af alternative brændsler. Det er desuden afgørende, at samarbejde på tværs
af sektorer fremmes bedst muligt, da de fleste af skibsfartens udfordringer (produktion af nye brændsler)
ligger på land.
