The shutter on the camera will determine how moving objects show up on your film.

If the number is set to 60 which is 1/60th of a second the time is longer and the subject moves more causing a blur.

Stop MotionWhen the shutter is set to a number like 1000, which is 1/1000th of a second in time, the subject does not move very far during the time the shutter is open.

How to be more dramatic

Motion can be made more dramatic when it is:

happening close to the camera

moving from side to side rather than toward the camera

the shutter is set to less than 1/60th second
