trouble all around But the patron of a newspaper nev ¬ er sees the waste basket He only glances at the printed pages com ¬ plaining if one letter in fifty is up side down growls his disappoint- m ¬ nt if one name in five hundred happens to be spelled wrong frowns because the editor dont take his advice about publicly warning his neighbor about keep- ing ¬ snow off the side walk and is generally disgi untied not so much at what he finds as at what he fails to find He knows his share of the waste basket but if he could have oue look at the contributions made to that receptacle by his neighbors and friends he would thank God for the existence ofamanwith sufficient intelligence and courage not to print all he knows and to temper even that he does print Dont laugh at a boy who mag ¬ nifies his place You may see him coming from the postoffice with a big bundle of his employers letters which he displays wi th as much pride as though they were his own He feels important and looks it but he is
