Maria Patricia Cristina Blanca Hidalgo Urkiolaè nata a Oviedo, in Spagna, sotto il segno del Toro.Dopo gli studi alla Facultad de Arquitecturadi Madrid, nel 1989 si laurea al Politecnicodi Milano, dove è assistente di Achille Castiglionie Eugenio Bettinelli fino al 1996.Nel 1998, sempre sotto il segno del Toro,inizia la collaborazione con Moroso.Nel 2001 apre il proprio studio a Milano.

A sudden brainwave is behind CarpetReloaded,an exclusive,limited-editioncollection of carpets from the first and secondhalves of the 20th century reinterpretedin a totally new and unexpected way.The past meets the present in a mixtureof ancient manufacturing skillsand contemporary design.Carpets that are bleached and re-dyed,unwoven and re-woven by skilful weaverswho work with due respect for the originalmaterials (cotton,wool,angora, black-goatwool,mohair,linen).A rug from the Carpet Reloadedis a style choice that displaysgreat character and adds a uniquetouch to its setting.

These carpets were bleachedand then re-dyed using natural monochromepigments.The results of wool dyeingis unknown and unexpected becauseit depends on the kind of wool used originally.Sizes range from about 2x3m to about 3x4m.Non-standard sizes available by request.The colours chosen for Moroso’s CarpetReloaded collection are:greys,from grey-beige to grey-blacks;reds, from rusty shades to dark reds;greens,from mint greens to blue-greens.
