The Blue Ridge Hospice Thrift Store of Purcellville will present a fashion show featuring clothing from their store, and guests can enjoy tea, desserts, raffle items and more. Proceeds will provide breast cancer survivors with wigs and bras, as well as a support network as they navigate the road toward recovery. Tickets are $20 each or $140 for a table of 8. For more information on the tea and LBHN’s programs, visit lbhn.org. Walk It Out Join Washington Parent at the Alexandria Walk to Fight Breast Cancer, and help support Inova Alexandria Hospital’s early detec- tion and education programs. Walk proceeds will provide free mammograms and other diagnostic screening procedures for Alexandria women who are not adequately insured, who earn low/ moderate income and could not otherwise obtain this necessary medical care. Walk or run the 1.5K, 3.5K or 5K routes, which leave from the AMC Hoffman Center Theatres in Alexandria at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 23. Or if you can’t participate in the walk, Dine Out to Fight Breast Cancer on Monday, October 18 when restaurants, stores and other businesses throughout Alexandria will contrib- ute a portion of the day’s proceeds to the Walk to Fight Breast Cancer.
