🎓What was our purpose?Panthéon-Assas University is the top university of law in France. At the beginning of last year, the President of the university, Mr. Guillaume Leyte asked us to put in place a new team for a new project : to start a modern distribution platform for distance education in French law. This initiative was promoted by the Minister of Higher Education, Mrs. Geneviève Fioraso.

Create a teamAs the objectives were different from classic FOAD, we created a new team with an audio-visual technician, a platform engineer, a development engineer, a customer manager and a general manager;

Create a platformBeside France Université Numérique (FUN) powered by edX, we developed a platform specific modules with Moodle : Agorassas. Agorassas is dedicated to SPOCs, Small Private Online Courses, and FUN is dedicated to MOOCs (Massive Online Open Courses).

Define goals We decided that SPOCs would qualify for a

degree and MOOCs would qualify for a certification.

We wanted to limit the number of enrolled students to 300.

Industrialize processesWe knew we had do produce tens of

courses, in MOOC format, subtitled at least in french for thousands of students.

a lot of students had to take an exam for SPOCs and a certification for MOOCs.
