Monthly WARA Newsletter for March, 2020 March Meeting: The monthly meeting was held at Sizzler's restaruant Monday March 2, 2020. The presenter was Pete Ziliox, K5PZ. He presented a review of his dxpedition to Midway Island which included images of wild life there: and his trip to South Africa which included a week at Kruger National Wild Animal Park. The presentation included beautiful pictures and stories about travelling there as well. His final picture drew applause:

March Meeting: The monthly meeting was held at Sizzler's restaruant Monday March 2, 2020. The presenter was Pete Ziliox, K5PZ.

Member of the Month: George Jacob, WARA Vice President.George Jacob has been a ham for 31 years. As a kid he was interested in CB radio which peaked his interest to being a ham radiooperator. He was in the United States Armyfrom March 15th, 1965 to March 15th, 1968 andwas honorably discharged as a sergeant E-5. Helikes DXing and has 312 countries confirmed.He has received 12 DXing awards, 8 BandDXCC awards, 5 band all-state awards and is apast president of SoCal DX club. He wasawarded a Southwest Division Volunteer Awardin 2017. He has been married 52 years to Kris.His advice to others: STUDY HARD ANDUPGRADE!
