AFGHANISTAN

FOOD AID

ALBANIA

ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP

Two hundred orphans are sponsored in Albania. Each orphan receives an allowance of £25 per month for food, clothing and education.

TEACHER SPONSORSHIP

Twelve teachers are being given monthly support to teach the Qur’an for free in madrassahs.

FINANCIAL ASSISSTANCE

UWT will be paying cash grant to 200 Muslim families who are living below the poverty line and

struggling to fulfil their needs.

BANGLADESH

ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP

One hundred & eighteen orphans are currently being sponsored in Bangladesh. Each orphan receives an allowance of £25 per month for food, clothing and education.

WATER HAND PUMPS

344 hand pumps will be installed in different areas of Panchagarh, Dinajpur, & Thakurgaon districts.

MEDICAL TREATMENT

Fifty expectant mothers are being provided with free ante natal care for 44 weeks.

WIDWS SUPPORT

200 widows were provided with a cash grant of £90 each for fulfilling their basic needs.

NEW LIVELIHOODS

Business start-ups being set-up for 21 poor families. Start-ups include rickshaw, sewing machines, cows etc.

BURMA

ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP

150 orphans are being given monthly support. This helps orphans with financial support to cover their basic needs, helping them to continue their education.

TEACHER SPONSORSHIP

One hundred fifty teachers receive monthly support, so children can be taught for free.

ORPHANAGE SUPPORT

Food assistance is provided to two under-funded orphanages.

EMRGENCY RELIEF

This project will provide cash assistance of £50 & Emergency Food Aid in Sittewe Camp and surrounding areas to thousands of families.

MASJID SUPPORT

Ummah Welfare trust sponsored 3 Maktab in Rohingya Refugee camps Arakan.

CHECHNYA

ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP

100 orphans in and around Grozny are being supported with £25 per month.

SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Three children with disabilities are receiving monthly financial assistance.

NEW LIVELIHOODS

Business start-ups are currently being set-up for 62 widows. Start-ups include cattle breeding, minis shops, sewing machines etc.

HAITI

MEDICAL CLINIC

Each month, around 500 patients in Mirgoane (and surrounding areas) are given free treatment and advice.

GAMBIA

HIFDH SPONSORSHIP

330 Hifdh students are being given monthly support in order to learn the Qur’an.

TEACHER SPONSORSHIP

Fifteen teachers are being given monthly support in order to teach the Qur’an for free to children.

FOOD AID

Food aid will be provided to 1200 families in various needy areas of Gambia.

INDIA

HIFDH SPONSORSHIP

400 young students are being given monthly support to complete the memorisation of the Qur’an.

TEACHER SPONSORSHIP

Dozens of teachers across different madrassahs in India are being sponsored to provide free education to children.

HARDSHIP CASES

Those suffering from acute poverty are receiving financial assistance for better housing and medical treatment.

ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP

The guardians of 42 orphans each receive a monthly allowance of £25 to cover their nutritional, health and educational needs.

CATARACT TREATMENT

Hospitals are being supported in order for them to provide a free Cataract treatment to those who are unable to afford the treatment.

FOOD AID

Cooked food will be provided to 2300 students of Deoband Madrassah.

MASJID CONSTRUCTION

Currently two masajid are under construction in Rajasthan. Masjid Dawood being completed this month.

MEDICAL AID

Free medical aid like cataract surgeries, dialysis, general treatment etc. will be provided to thousands of people in Gujrat district of India.

WATER HAND PUMPS

25 hand pumps being completed in march and 100 more hand pumps will be installed in different areas of Maldan Sunderban, west Bengal region.

ORPHAN SUPPORT

Under this project Clothes, shoes, socks school bag, hair oil and other needy items will be distributed among 475 boys and girls.

IRAQ

BREAD BAKERY

Ten bakeries will be established in Irbil, Baghdad & Kirkuk districts, and 60 people will be trained and employed in these bakeries.

NEW LIVELIHOODS

A vocational training centre is being established in Bahrka camp, Irbil, for internally displaced widows, divorced women, and the wives of missing men. One hundred women are being trained and provided with sewing machines and other items.

WIDOWS SUPPORT

Cash assistance of $200 will be given to 307 widows.

EMERGENCY RELIEF

Food aid will be distributed to thousands of needy families in Kirkuk, Irbil and Baghdad.

KASHMIR

ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP

Monthly grants of £25 are being provided to 232 orphans in Azad Kashmir.

WIDOW SUPPORT

One hundred and thirty six widows are receiving monthly support.

MEDICAL AID

A clinic in Kotli is providing free treatment and medicines to poor rural people.

MALAWI

MOBILE MEDICAL CLINICS

A mobile clinic is providing treatment to the residents of 6 villages in the district of Katema.

SCHOOLS SUPPORT

Thirteen schools in Malawi are being subsidised to ensure that free education can be provided to poor rural children.

MASJID CONSTRUCTION

A new masjid & a class rooms in the village of Mikuti being constructed and is providing free teaching and worship services for approximately 100 families.

HOUSING CONSTRUCTION

After the floods in Malawi last year UWT started the construction of 40 houses for the affected families in Nsanje district of Malawi.

EDUCATION SUPPORT

Under this project UWT will bear the educational expenses of Nine students.

NEPAL

HOUSING PROJECT

After the earth quake in April, UWT completed construction of 10 houses for 10 families in Gorkha district.

EMERGENCY RELIEF

This project is to provide the non-food items to 2050 families and construct one-storey houses for 30

earthquake affected families.

PAKISTAN

UMMAH CHILDREN ACADEMY

Approximately 700 orphans board at this orphanage and receive a free comprehensive education.

NEW MUSLIM SPONSORSHIP

Children, previously working as bonded labourers, are being provided with monthly support, including food, clothing and education assistance.

UMMAH CHILDREN ACADEMY IN WANA

An orphanage in South Waziristan that supports hundreds of orphans with free education, food and clothing.

ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP

Monthly cash assistance is provided to the guardians of 1317 orphans across the country.

TEACHER SPONSORSHIP

162 teachers are reimbursed for their efforts so that thousands of children can learn and study the Qur’an for free.

WIDOWS SUPPORT

Over a hundred widows receive financial support so that they and their family’s needs can be met.

UCA EXTENSION

A new extension is being constructed for the Ummah Children Academy in Nowshera. The extension, with an added water tanker, will provide accommodation for full-time staff.

SEWING CENTRE

Two embroidery training centres have been established in various areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Waziristan.

HOUSE CONSTRUCTION

70 homeless families in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will receive new homes in this latest programme.

WATER WELLS

137 water wells are currently being installed across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Punjab.

UMMAH CENTRE FOR THE DISABLED

Sixty two children, with special needs, receive comprehensive support, including education, rehabilitation and nutrition.

HIFDH SPONSORSHIP

Five hundred & Fifty young students are being supported to memorise the Noble Qur’an.

CATARACT SURGERY

Eye camps have been set up and are providing free surgery to hundreds of patients throughout the year.

SLAVERY TO FREEDOM

One hundred and twenty indebted families, who were thus forced to work as labourers, have had their debts paid off. They have been relocated to Umar Kot and are being provided all their basic needs for a four months.

TECHNICAL COLLEGE

Free technical education is being provided here to poor students in the district of Nowshera. Some of the courses on offer include: surveying, drafting, CAD, electrical training and carpentry. One hundred and forty students are benefitting.

ORPHAN SUPPORT

Monthly cash assistance is provided to the guardians of 100 orphans from Wana Waziristan.

CASH GRANTS

This project will provide cash grant of £200 per family. A total of 246 deserving widows and poor families will be benefited from this project.

AQEEQAH

187 small and 13 large animals have been sacrificed, its meat cooked and provided to children at the

UCA and nearby madrassahs.

PALESTINE

HIFDH SPONSORSHIP

One hundred & twenty hifdh students and 10 teachers are being given monthly support.

ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP

The sponsorship provides £25 per month to 3,557 orphans to assist them in their day to day living.

FOOD VOUCHER PROJECT

Two thousand five hundred families receive a £25 food voucher every month. They then purchase their day to day needs from selected supermarkets.

WATER DISTRIBUTION PROJECT FOR GAZA

This project provides clean drinking water directly to households who do not have a direct supply of water and for 20 schools in Gaza. 14,000 students, 200 families.

TRAUMA CENTRE

This is a new project in Palestine. The construction of a two story building Is underway. The centre will provide continued psycho social support to trauma victims in Gaza.

HOUSE CONSTRUCTION

87 homes have been selected for the project. Construction is on-going.

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT PROVISION

Much-needed medicines and medical equipment are being provided to Nasser and Aqsa hospitals in Gaza.

POOR PATIENT SUPPORT

Free medical Treatment & Surgical Operations for 600 patients. Maximum of £50 will be spent on each patient.

UMMAH CENTER OF EXCELLENCE

A multi-story Dawah centre is under construction in Gaza. This centre will provide free islamic education to the children.

MASJID CONSTRUCTION

The local community started the construction of Abu Mudayen Masjid in Al-Buraij region. However they are now short of funding to complete the Masjid. Plastering, tiling, painting, carpentry works is remaining.

PHILIPPINES

DA’WAH CENTRE

The Da’wah centre offers free education service to children.

HIFDH SPONSORSHIP

150 Huffadh receive a monthly allowance of £22 per month which will cover their monthly education

expenses.

WATER WELLS

The installation of 220 water wells is in progress.

ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP

50 orphans receive a monthly allowance of £25 per month which will cover their monthly living expenses

TEACHER SPONSORSHIP

Eighty four teachers are being given monthly support to teach the Qur’an for free in madrassahs.

WIDOWS & POOR FAMILIES SUPPORT

Over 200 widows & Poor families were provided with a cash grant of £84 each for fulfilling their

WATER TANKERS

Three water tankers in Mogadishu deliver free clean water to thousands of displaced residents each day.

ORPHANS/ORPHANAGE

Three hundred and fifty orphans residing at Markaz Umar ibn al Khattab orphanage in Baidoa are being supported.

UMMAH CENTRE FOR THE BLIND

Thirty visually impaired children receive comprehensive support, including education, rehabilitation and nutrition.

SOMALIA

BAIDOA MEDICAL CLINIC

This is an exceptional medical centre in Baidoa which provides free medical care, treatment and medication to thousands of patients per year. 1,050 patients are treated a month.

TEACHER SPONSORSHIP

Fifty five teachers, across four regions of Somalia, are being reimbursed to provide free Islamic education to poor children.

SUDAN

FOOD AID

Free food is being provided to 68 poor students at Dar Al Tahfeez school in East Sudan.

ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP

Sixty two orphans are receiving monthly support. Each orphan receives an allowance of £25 per month for food, clothing and education.

EDUCATION CENTRE

Ummah Welfare Trust is covering the running expenses of Umar Ibn Khattab school in Kassala. The school can now provide free education to hundreds of children.

FOOD AID

Emergency food packs will be provided to over thousands of families in East Sudan.

SYRIA

BREAD FACTORY

Ummah Welfare Trust is supporting bread bakeries in Syria. The bakeries, covering different locations, provide free bread to 1,600 families on daily basis.

SCHOOL SUPPORT

Al Risalah & Al Noor schools are being refurbished. Teachers are being reimubursed and teaching materials, books etc. are being provided for free.

BABY MILK

A box of baby milk in the target locations of Damascus suburbs, Daraya, Mohadameenah, Khan al Sheeh, Hameh will be distributed among 587 families.

SCHOOL SUPPORT

Four new schools being supported in these projects. Teachers are being reimbursed and teaching materials, books etc. are being provided for free.

ORPHAN SUPPORT

Each orphan receives an allowance of $50 per month for food, clothing and education. Two thousand two hundred and fifty orphans are being supported.

EMERGENCY RELIEF

Food packs & cooked food will be given to thousands of families in Idlib, Hama, Aleppo and other needy areas.

FOOD AID

Thousands of besieged families in Madaya & other needy areas across Syria will be provided food aid.

TANZANIA

QURAN DISTRIBUTION

Thousands of Qur’ans and ‘Amma paras’ will be distributed in various masjids and madrasahs.

UK

FEEDING THE HOMELESS

Ummah Welfare Trust is subsidising the provisions of cooked food, water and fruit to 150 poor and homeless people in Slough on a weekly basis for 44 weeks.

QURAN DISTRIBUTION

Ummah Welfare Trust is raising the awareness of Islam by distributing free Qurans to 6,000 people worldwide.

YEMEN

EMERGENCY RELIEF

Ummah Welfare Trust is continuing to provide food & medication to internally displaced families in Aden, Lahij, Abyan, Khokha camp and other areas.

SCHOOL SUPPORT

A school in Al Khokha camp being subsidised to ensure that free education can be provided to poor and displaced children.

MEDICAL AID

This is one-off medical aid project in Yemen. UWT will funds the kidney transplant of two brothers.
