3 things to share!
First, our church
voted in a called busi-
ness meeting February
24, to invite Jason
Adams to come as our new bi-
vocational Minister to Students and
Maddie Risner Dickerson to come as
Children’s Ministry Coordinator. Jason
starts March 1 & Maddie starts April 1.
Second, MCBC was recently recog-
nized as one of the top 500 churches in
mission giving through the Cooperative
Program in Texas. As your Pastor I
want to thank you once again for your
generosity to help others in this way!
Third, we are excited to be one of
over 200 East Texas churches partici-
pating in CityFest October 5-6. Be-
forehand, there will be several events
where Christians will join together to
prepare for this event. The first will
be April 4, Green Acres Baptist
Church. Reserve your free tickets in
the Main Foyer starting Sunday, March
3!
CityFest East Texas with Andrew
Palau is a region-wide evangelistic
campaign focused on serving the re-
gion and proclaiming the Good News.
It came about as a result of years of
prayer and planning by hundreds of
leaders from the faith, business, and
civic communities in East Texas and
the surrounding area. The vision is to
see the Christian community come
together in greater unity, service, and
proclamation - showing the communi-
ty at-large the joy, peace, love, and
grace of Jesus Christ. Lots to be
excited about!

Celebration Choir News
Rehearsals Sundays 4:45 p.m.
New choir members welcome.
Come be a part of Mission Friends! We
would like to welcome children ages 4-
kindergarten to join us for Mission Friends
on Sunday nights, 6-7 p.m., beginning in
April. Each week we will gather to learn
about Christian missions, missionaries, God’s love, and
the message of the Gospel, while having lots of fun.
Join us as we kick-off Royal Ambassadors on Sunday,
March 10, 6-7 p.m! This is a discipleship program for
boys 1st-6th grade, where they learn about Gospel-
centered missions through interactive activities, games,
sports, and mentoring relationships. During our first
meetings we will be preparing for the annual derby car
race. You do not want to miss out!
For those of you who I have not had the pleasure of
meeting, my name is Maddie Dickerson. I am humbled
and honored to be able to serve as the new Children’s
Ministry Coordinator. Please be on the lookout for
announcements about upcoming events! We have a lot
of exciting things in the works! And, something exciting
is coming for Easter! Mark your calendars to join us for
the Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt and meal follow-
ing the service on Sunday, April 14!
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
YOU Can Be a MCBC Volunteer!
What an exciting day Sunday was for my
family! On behalf of Heather, the kids
and myself we are so excited to be able
to partner with the people of MCBC in
this great ministry opportunity. We
especially look forward to meeting with
the students at the church over the course of the next
several weeks! We will be taking the Youth Sunday
School class and hitting the ground running, but we
need your help to get the word out to all the youth of
the church. If you know a student who has been MIA
from church, then please let me know so I can make
contact with them about being a part of the Student
Ministries at MCBC. God will bless us in the coming
years if we can hold that promise close to our hearts;
the opportunity is here we just need to reach out and
take it! In the upcoming months, we will be developing
a plan to disciple our students and we will meet with
families from the church about our plans to build an
amazing student ministry that will be pleasing to God.
We were so excited to meet some of the students
Sunday and it brings us great joy to know we will be
able to invest in their lives and build this ministry with
them. Again, we look forward to serving alongside you
all for many years to come.

A Life Quote
Hate has 4 letters, so does Love.
Enemies has 7 letters, so does Friends.
Lying has 5, so does Truth.
Negative has 8, so does Positive.
Under has 5, so does Above.
Cry has 3 letters, so does Joy.
Anger has 5 letters, so does Happy.
Right has 5 letters, so does Wrong.
Hurt has 4 letters, so does Heal.
This means in life we should transform every
negative into a positive and we should choose
the better side of Life. Author Unknown
