ACTIVITIES AND/OR ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Everyone,

Please review the following and give your feedback as soon as possible. I am sending this to P Joe, as well, so he can correct any errors or misleading statements I have made. 2 banners to place in general location of placement for VBS and WCF banners - $198 (combined cost yard signs 50 @ $391 5X8 inch postcards 500@ $129 customizable by us banner 4 ft X 12 @ $139 customizable by Joe possible banner/signs at corner of Mack and Winton across street from church( permission must be obtained) cost to be determined Total price for itemized items with known prices is $857 plus shipping and handling. There is a line in Budget of $300 under Advertising with my name attached. (This has had no $ taken from it so far this year. In fact, I don't remember seeing it until Art gave out the info at the last Council meeting.) So $300 of the above cost would come from that line and the rest from E&O which I think is doable and still leave some $ to finish out the year for E&O. There are some outstanding bills from WCF but none others of which I am aware. Joe's thoughts(I hope I capture them adequately) 1. 2 Banners in front for general advertising 2. some yard signs placed along ridge in front of church leading up to the above banners 3. to use our strongest gift which is that of being relational the post cards would be given personally or mailed with personal invite written by congregants 4. yard signs would be placed in congregants' yards as reminder to neighbors to whom they sent postcards

Page 4: MONTHLY MINISTRY REPORT Covenant Community ...MONTHLY MINISTRY REPORT Covenant Community Church Name: Patrice McCracken Position/Ministry Area: E and O Date of Report September 2,

5. 4X12 banner would be placed above the porch entrance to the church as a reminder and motivator to congregants and, of course advertising to all those who drive through the parking lot daily which I understand is a significant number These build on each other. Also, these will be obtained from the company from which the Story material is coming. Other means: Joe will write a letter to congregants about Story and the new structuring ASAP Joe will write a letter of invitation to those on archived list of previous attendees being careful to check if it would be inappropriate to send this letter to anyone who is firmly established in another church. Use Facebook to spread info by congregants - Joe will give instruction on how to do this Church website Use of VIMEO which is currently being utilized anyway (like UTUBE but more selective)) 9:30 to 10:45 Sunday School with Story program for all ages 11-12ish church service building on Story 2 adult Small Groups to meet to cover the Story for those working the Story Sunday morning. Ernst on Sunday evening with Fred Guthrie leading and on Wednesday at 11 at church Leader?? AT this point Wednesday evenings are open, however, I hope E&O will be able to provide community/church programs Wednesday nights on some weeks. I've typed this in a hurry so please forgive errors. I’m sending this to Joe so he can correct any misleading statements I may have made. 3. PARTNERSHIP: How can the Council and/or Pastor help you to accomplish your goals for the next

month?

I’m asking the whole church to be intentional in reaching out to their friends and neighbors. This

doesn’t have to be an invitation to church (though that’s encouraged too). Consider having an

unchurched neighbor over for dinner or bring someone a plate of cookies. In the conversation, see if

they’d be interested in reading through The Story with you. If we can get folks outside of our church

reading the Bible, that will be a huge success!
