• Set a date.• Determine your wedding
day style and colors.• HIRE A WEDDING
PLANNER.• Set up a budget.• Compile your final guest
list.
• Create a web page to announce your wedding.
• Choose your wedding party.
• Have an engagement party.
• Book your ceremony and reception locations.
• Book your officiant.
• Buy your gown (and reception gown if you plan on doing a wardrobe change).
• Send out save-the-date cards.• Book your caterer.• Book your entertainment.• Book your florist.• Book your photographer.• Book your videographer (if you decide to have one).• Reserve rental equipment you’ll need from other vendors.
• Determine your menu.• Book your bakery.• Book your transportation.• Book your ceremony musicians (if you decide to
have one).• Buy bridesmaid dresses.• Register for gifts.
• Finalize honeymoon arrangements.• Rent or buy formalwear (shoes, veil, jewelry, etc.).• Order your invitations (DIY: start making your
invitations).• Order your wedding bands.
• Finalize the guest list.• Appoint ushers and other
ceremony helpers.• Mail out invites.• Order ceremony programs

• Book your hairstylist and makeup artist.
• Decide on and buy accessories for your wedding party.

arrangements.• Call venue and ceremony managers and make sure you
and the vendors have access to the site when they need it.• Check in with all vendors and confirm all details.• Confirm last-minute details with your vendors.
• Write thank-you cards, make sure that every last guest that gave you a gift receives a thank-you card (Etiquette Tip: gifts given at or after the wedding, you have one month after you return from your honeymoon to get them out).
• Follow up with your vendors (if needed).
• Change your name (SS card, driver’s license, passport).
• Take care of other details (insurance, accounts, car insurance, bank accounts, etc).
• Submit pictures to be featured in magazines and newspapers.
