A few words from Monica—

What a Winter into Spring we’ve had this year! When Patric & I are out hiking, as we look out from the top of the moun-tains surrounding our desert, the desert floor is all GREEN! I can’t remember it ever looking like this—and I’ve lived here my whole life. I wonder what summer will bring… An update on my life: yes, I got engaged on December 20th, my birthday, in Jackson Hole, WY. I must say I am one lucky lady. Patric is a wonderful guy. Our families have know each other since we were kids but he was just enough older that I nev-er really knew him. I just think it was our time to meet. The wedding? Who knows...5 years from now on a beach in Bali???? My children and grandchildren are doing great. We are all excited because Maria, and her husband, Andre, are expecting my third grandchild in August. The classes in this newsletter are also on our website. In fact, because of space requirements in this newsletter, you’ll find more workshops and a complete list of projects for some of the bead instructors on line. You can view larger images of projects, download supply lists for the quilt side classes—even register on line. Basic Knotting $35 Learn the basics of knotting with string

using specialized tweezers. This class is great for beginners or students wishing to refresh their knotting skills. Patricia will help you design a

necklace of pearls or stones.

Paper Piecing $45

Would you like to get perfect points with minimal effort? Can’t cut straight or get a consistent 1/4” seam allowance? No worries! There are lots of fabulous laser cut fusible applique kits on the market. It’s easy to get confused by the instructions and materials. We'll walk you through the pattern, help you identify and organize the pre-cut parts and show you some easy methods for placing your pieces. You'll have time to get started on your project in class and will go home knowing how to successfully complete your quilt top. We'll demonstrate with Hoffman's Dance of the Dragonflies kit but the techniques can be used
