Moneythink Mobile enhances the existing mentorship model with simple dashboards and interactions that tie into the current classroom curriculum.

Mentors receive instructions for each challenge guiding them on how to integrate it into their classroom curriculum.

Mentor Guidance

Students responded best to the intuitive challenges and so we found that we didn’t need to include a lot of instructions.

Student Behavior

We learned that the students interacted more with photo-based challenges. !

Expression through images is familiar because of apps like Instagram.

Photo Challenges

Also, high school kids are social online and they don’t necessarily care if they know the other person. !

In fact, they draw on others for inspiration.

Social Exploration

We hope that by using familiar habits, the app visuals and peer to peer encouragement boosts learning and behavioral changes. !

< This challenge is called the Savvy Selfie.

The current pilot will reach 1000+ students. !

We’re still learning what does and doesn’t work. !

If Moneythink Mobile promotes ongoing behavioral change towards be!er financial habits and produces a more lasting impact, it could change the way financial

literacy is delivered to communities.

The Impact
