The motorhome was recovered but had been burned by the time it was located. Mark Sawyer, represent­ing the Southeastern NewMexico Economic Develop­ment District (SNMEDD),a~peared before the CapitanVillage Coundl Monday nightto discuss the town's appHca­tion for a Cotrlttiunity Develop­ment Block Grant (CDBG) inthe amount of $25,000.

The grant will be used todevelop a comprebensivemaster plan for the village ofCapitan.

This would deal with thepast, present and moreespecially the future andwould look at goals and objec­tivea with possiblemodifications.

It would address all in­frastructure such as water;sewer; culverts, transportation.traffic signals and safety, landuses and impact of futuregrowth: review all ordinancesand make recommendations.

Sawyers reported that 15engineering firms have ex­pressed an interest in thismaster plan and more are ex­pected. The cut-off date forresolutions is Nov. 30. The pr0­posals will be reviewed by theCapitan Village Couilcil, alocal task toree. plannIDJ andzoDing, and SNMEDD. Apointsystem will be used iil .:elec­tbl(l the enafneetlng finn.
