Walking with the Lord

Holy Week

This Sunday, we begin Holy Week with Palm Sunday. Unlike last year where we were unable to celebrate Holy Week,

this year we are able to celebrate together although with some changes due to COVID-19 and various restrictions that are

still in place. Palm Sunday, we have people who will help to distribute palm; they will be masked and gloved. There will

not be a procession and the blessing of the palms will take place in front of the Altar. Monday of Holy Week, we will

have confessions from 3pm to 9pm in the Church. We also will have Holy Hour from 8pm to 9pm on Monday. The

celebration of Morning Prayer on Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday will be celebrated in the Parish Center

at 8am and livestreamed on our Website (www.iccwhb.org), Facebook, and Vimeo pages as well as on YouTube later in

the day. The Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday will take place in the Parish Center. There will be no washing

of the feet this year due to safety protocol. Likewise there will be no procession nor altar of repose, however, the Blessed

Sacrament will be in the Tabernacle of the Parish Center and available for adoration until 11pm. On Good Friday, we will

have Stations of the Cross in the Church at 12noon, and 7:30pm in English, and 6pm in Spanish. Liturgy of the Lord’s

Passion will be in the Parish Center at 3pm. Adoration of the Cross will be done from in front of the Altar without

processing and approaching the Cross. Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion in Spanish will take place at 8pm in the Parish

Center. On Holy Saturday we will have the blessing of food in the Church at 10:30am. The Easter Vigil will be in the

Parish Center at 8pm. We will not have the lighting and blessing of the Easter Fire this year, but will light and bless the

Easter Candle to start the Easter Vigil. Likewise we will not be using or lighting congregational candles this year. The

blessing with Easter Water will take place at the foot of the Altar without a procession both at the Easter Vigil and Easter

Sunday Masses. Easter Sunday Masses will be held in the Parish Center at 8am, 9:30am, 11am in English, and 12:30pm

in Spanish. I pray that you and your family have a Blessed Holy Week and Blessed Easter. I am so happy we are able to

celebrate these great feasts together! For now, we continue our walk with the Lord.

Jesucristo, ilumina nuestro camino. El da esperanza. Como dijeron los Padres del

Concilio Vaticano II:

Page 8: MONDAY, MARCH 29 at 8 PM IN THE CHURCH ......2 days ago  · Morgan Leary, Ryan Dodt, Joanne Citerella, Phil Pennisi, Carol Hopkins Pray for the Deceased: SAMUEL C. DEBONO SAMUEL SMITH

OFFICE OF~ 1 I l l' HIS ll!l l'
