Today you will learn. . .How to collaborate with colleagues
Demonstrate your learning by…100% of all teachers will select 3 teachers whose resources/knowledge can assist you with some aspect of the work. Justify (with at least 3 reasons) why you selected these three people, and explain how you intend to gather this knowledge/resource.
Now take the time to write the “Demonstrate Your Learning By”…for all three of the objectives you wrote.
Why is this important?
1. This label explains why students need to know the information they are learning.
2. What are the real-life implications of meeting this objective?
Why is this important?
Collaboration is important so that educators will not have to
“reinvent the wheel”. When you learn to collaborate, you learn to capitalize on the other persons
resources and skills and find support in the work. Many hands
make light work.
Now take the time to write the “Why is this important”…for all three of the
objectives you wrote.
Homework
1. Should cause students to engage in the content.
2. Should be an extension of the content.
3. Should be assessed the next day.
Homework?
1. Listen to the radio or watch television and find an example of a group or a team who does not collaborate. What happened as a result of their inability to collaborate?
