ALEX THOMSONBritish skipper Alex Thomson is a major talent at international yacht racing. Competing in the high-speed, extreme IMOCA 60 class he is the fastest Britain to sail single handedly, non stop around the globe. Alex holds the title of British solo, unassisted round the world record, which he set in 2017 when he successfully completed second in the grueling Vendee Globe, considered ‘The Everest of the sailing world’.
THE IMOCA BOATThis 60 foot IMOCA racing yacht is one of the world’s fastest modern racing monohulls. This amazing boat was built using composite materials, keeping the IMOCA 60 as light as possible whilst still ensuring it is able to with stand the harsh conditions it was up against whilst racing across the oceans.
DATESThere are ONLY 3 dates available this year to sail with Alex in the HUGO BOSS IMOCA 60.

IT INERARY
THE DAY STARTS AT 10.00am Meet at the 5 Star Chewton Glen Hotel, located in the New Forest. Voted the #1 hotel in the Great Britain. Your day begins with a wonderful hearty brunch with your skipper for the day, world renowned sailor Alex Thomson. Alex will talk you through safety on board his boat and what the day’s activities will entail. Once you are kitted up you’ll be taken on a high-speed RIB out to the fastest IMOCA 60 racing yacht in the world. Once on board the adventure really begins! On board the Hugo Boss you will have the opportunity to try out the life of an ocean racing crew-member. Under Alex’s expert guidance, you will have the chance to helm the 60-foot racing machine and feel her power through the water, reaching speeds of up to 30 knots as you seamlessly slice through ocean waves through the Solent and out to the Isle of Wight.
DINNER 6.00pm After an incredible day of sailing, you’ll be whisked back to Chewton Glen to freshen up for a fantastic evening sharing good times with Alex over a well-earned supper!
PRICE An exclusive sailing day with Alex Thomson is £31,700 including VAT, this is based on 10 persons. Overnight accommodation available on request.
