Front End DeveloperResponsible for developing and maintaining user interfaces for various products, ranges from websites,mobile apps, and touch-table software. It really helped me empower my experience by delivering knowledge into applications and top up my skills through exposing to different user scenarios and developing seamless interfaces that runs on screen sizes from smartphones to large TV screens. I had the chance to learn about new technology trends and develop apps based on these studies. I had developed Augmented Reality powered hybrid app and Cardboard Virtual Reality app.

Front End DeveloperWorked on multiple projects, mobile and web apps. My role was to provide current projects with new features, code enhancement and overall app performance. I did also work on a new project where my role was to implement the provided UI design, create reusable generic services for consuming API endpoints, develop custom components and lazyload modules whenever needed. For mobile and web app Remotak, I did create a user interface that contains many modules with different user’s interactions and maximize user’s usability as well. It helped me creating various UI options for the same scenario where we compare and test each option and apply the one with maximum usability for both inexperienced and advanced users.

Graphic DesignerFor a personalized gift shop like daPicture, it was really challenging to create designs that fits the wide range of products they have. From mugs, t-shirts, pillows, pin buttons and many more, each artwork was not only about the look and feel but also it was about the form that will fit and look beautiful on any of their blank gifts. I also had the chance to design some of their website’s widgets.

TraineeEgypreneur really helped me out on both technical and business level. I contributed at Egypreneur when they first started out in Egypt by designing newsletters, website widgets and banners. As the first and largest network for entrepreneurial business owners and executives in Egypt, working around with these guys, helped me considering a lot of business aspects that I wasn’t aware of.

Graphic DesignerFor a multi-brand luxury fashion store like HIP it was challenging to design content with style that matches HIP’s style. Working with fashion in general is a tricky job, task I have been given, did strengthen my design skills and gives me the elasticity to adapt with any kind of industry. I did create Store printings, flyers, banners, newsletters, and magazine ads., which really empower my skills to cope with one of the most tricky industries in graphic design.

HIP FASHION STORESSeptember 2010 to March 2012

The Google Student Ambassador Program is an opportunity for students to act as liaisons between Google and their universities. I earned my position by preparing a report about one of Google’s products and how it can be improved beside an introductory video showing why they should consider my application and if I really fits as a GSA. I learned alot through scheduled sessions and one-on-one talks with Googlers from around the world. On both technical and business levels, this chance was really fruitful for me.

Aleef Mobile App. was my very first Ionic and AngularJS project. Based on my web design skills, I have been recommended to be a part of project fron-end development team. I started learning from scratch about AngularJS and Ionic Framework. It was my first time to get exposed to Hybrid Mobile Apps term. This required me to invest more time and effort in learning. I did used basic learning resources like W3Schools and official documentations. At the end of the project I had mastered AngularJS and Ionic Framework. Beside working with modules, controllers and directives there’s a very tricky task where I have to re-design all app. animations from jQuery to CSS3. Before CSS pre-processors, this task was really challenging, however it affects the whole performance of the app. and gives me the chance to top up my CSS skills.

Image InteriorsWebsite and Mobile App.Client/Image Interiors

A project for one of the biggest home interior magazines in Egypt. The client requirements were pretty simple, a website with backend to add content regulary and mobile app. I had the chance to complete the project all by my own. I developed the website based on Wordpress CMS, creating a unique design based on client’s provided wireframe and developed custom API endpoints to use in the mobile app. The mobile app. was developed based on Ionic v1 and published to both Play and App stores. It was performance and time challenging project. I had to optmize the mobile app as the client’s industry all depends on interior design hence high resolution images. Developed a lazy loading directive for images, infinite scroll for big lists and swipable image gallery. Taking the whole project responsibility was really challenging to deliver a quality service and also meet project timeline.

Smile MeterHybrid Desktop AppEmployer/Plan BClient/MBC Hope

Plan B is an advertising agency based in Cairo, Egypt, was looking for affordable yet fun solution to use in one of charity events held by MBC Hope channel. I proposed the idea of donation by smiling, which wont cost guests anything and also create a playful and competitive experience in the event. The solution was pretty simple, a camera that detects face features and represents a meter that measures user’s smile from 0% to 100%. The tricky part was that I have to develop the solution that works on minimal hardware requiremnts and without any third party help, so I have to develop with technologies I have already known and previously worked with. I used a simple webcam and a JavaScript library to detect face features, then I had to calculate the exact points around the mouth and lips, and started monitoring the changes in these points’ values while smiling. I used these values to drive a graphical meter that exceeds while user smiles. Next, I started looking for techonology that allows me to compile and run my code as a standalone Windows exe file that’s when I met Electron Atom and wrote my first Node.js app.
