Power of Plants

Greetings from Mrs. Jensen!

Course Objectives

• Students will successfully grow a plant and identify the

necessary conditions for growth.

• Students will identify the different stages of plant

development, the parts that are developing, and their

function.

• Students will explain the process of photosynthesis and how

it contributes to the carbon dioxide/ oxygen cycle.

• Students will label and identify the different parts of a plant

cell and describe their functions.

• Students will create a food chain and label the different

members and the role/dependence they have on other

members.

Moodle Course

• Each module will run

for two weeks

– Assignments list

In the first module you will:

–Share with me what you know

about plants

–Introduce yourself to your

classmates

–Plant your seeds

Assignments

• Activate your brain

– Life cycle of a plant video

• Introduce yourself to the class

– Draw a picture that includes:

• The first letter of your name

• Pictures and words that describe you

• Discussion: Post your picture in the Snowball discussion

forum

• Plant your seeds

– Check which group you are in and the experiment plant

your are responsible for
