December 2012
This will take you to the page which displays details of the team namely:
the name of the team/group
who has access to the team
the team manager
the discipline/sport to which the team belongs to and
ICC will not include any players in your team as you are no longer required to specify the NPP players to whom
the whereabouts information applies.
On the left column of the team page you will see two links
1. Address Book
2. Whereabouts
ADDRESS BOOK
The address book stores all the addresses to be used in your whereabouts calendar. To access the address book
click on the words ‘Address Book’ that appears in blue on the left of the screen as shown above.
You will see the following address book with one pre-entered address ‘No international team activity’ already in
your team address book.
10
Module 4 – NPP NCF Whereabouts
December 2012
This address has been created by the ICC to assist you in completing your team whereabouts calendar on days when your international team has not been assembled and has no international team activity.
CREATE AN ADDRESS
Step 1 - Click on the ‘New’ button, in the top right corner of the Address Book page, to create a new address
entry as shown above.
The new address pop-up will be displayed:
Step 2 - Enter the required information in each field to create an address that you can use to populate your
calendar.
All mandatory fields are indicated with an asterisk (*) on the ADAMS system. You will need to provide the
following mandatory details to save each address:
Label (mandatory): this label will appear on the whereabouts calendar. The label must be unique and help you to clearly identify what address it relates to. When populating your team’s calendar you will only see the address labels of the addresses entered in your team address book therefore it is important to be specific in labeling addresses. For example: If entering the address of the Hilton hotel in Dubai, you should label the address ‘Hilton, Dubai’ in order to help differentiate from the other Hilton hotel addresses you may put into your address book. If the label already exists in the address book, an error message will appear asking you to change it.
Address Line 1 and 2 (line 1 is mandatory) – enter the detailed address e.g. Dubai Sports City Emirates
Road (next to Dubai Autodrome). Remember you must provide enough detail for the team to be located.
City (mandatory)
Country (mandatory) chose from the drop down list by clicking the downward facing arrow
11
Module 4 – NPP NCF Whereabouts
December 2012
The following detail about each address is optional. Remember you need to provide as much detail as you think is necessary so the team can be located at the address you are providing.
Region: e.g. the name of a province or state. This needs to be chosen from the drop down list by clicking the downward facing arrow. If no drop down list appears please leave the field blank
Postal / Zip
Phone Number 1 and 2. Please enter a plus sign (+), followed by the country code and the phone number. (E.g. +9144876543)
Additional information: this field could contain instructions on how to find the address, how or where to locate the team in a large venue etc.
Step 3 – After having entered the address details making sure you have entered information in the mandatory fields, click on the Save button. The address book uploads with the new address that has just been entered. You should repeat the above steps for all of the addresses you will need for the upcoming four week that have not already been entered. As you continue to update the address book with addresses they will appear in a list on the page shown below
EDIT AN ADDRESS
Step 1 - Should you wish to edit an address that was previously entered in your address book, just click anywhere on the specific address line that you wish to edit.
An ‘Edit Address’ pop-up will appear on your screen containing all the current details of the address.
12
Module 4 – NPP NCF Whereabouts
December 2012
Step 2 - You can make the required changes to one or more address fields by clicking in the relevant field and overwriting the existing information. Click Save once done. The address book will reload with the edited address details. Should you wish to cancel any change you started to make you can either click Cancel or the close icon (x) in the top right corner of the pop-up. This will cancel any change and close the pop-up. If the original address that you had chosen to edit, was used in whereabouts entries on any day that has already passed, then the original (unedited) address will remain in the address book. The label of the old (original) address will automatically be given a number to differentiate it from the edited address. A whereabouts entry for any day(s) that has passed will not change as a result of having edited an address in your team address book. For example, if you change an address labeled “Training Academy” from “123 First Street” to “456 Second Street” and save:
• If the “123 First Street” address has been used in days now passed, it will be retained in the address book; its label will automatically be changed to “Training Academy - 1” (or “Training Academy-2”, etc.);
• The “456 Second Street” address will be saved in the address book with the label “Training Academy”. If the address that you are editing has been used to populate your whereabouts calendar for upcoming days, you will be asked to confirm whether or not those whereabouts entries should be modified with the changes you have just made to the address.
Clicking ‘OK’ will automatically change the address on all upcoming whereabouts entries in the calendar.
Clicking ‘New Address’ will allow you to create a new address instead on the existing address for the upcoming whereabouts entries
Click cancel to abort the editing of the address
DELETE AN ADDRESS
You can delete an address from the team address book. To do so, click the delete (x) icon, in the extreme right column of the address you want to delete. A pop-up window will ask you to confirm the deletion.
13
Module 4 – NPP NCF Whereabouts
December 2012
If the address you are deleting is used in upcoming whereabouts calendars, a dialog box will remind you that future whereabouts entries will also be deleted.
Click Delete to delete all upcoming whereabouts entries using this address, or
Click Cancel to abort the deletion of the address.
If the address you are deleting has been used in the calendar days passed, those whereabouts entries will not be deleted.
TEAM WHEREABOUTS CALENDAR
After creating the addresses in the address book, you can start to populate your team whereabouts calendar.
ACCESS THE TEAM CALENDAR
To open your team whereabouts calendar for the relevant four weeks click on the ‘My Whereabouts’ tab that sits
at the top of your screen. This should take you to the calendar of the current month.
14
Module 4 – NPP NCF Whereabouts
December 2012
Should you wish to access your team whereabouts calendar for the next month because your rolling four weeks
goes into the next month, you can do so by clicking on any day in the next month that appears on the left of the
screen for that quarter. If the next month is included in a new quarter you can access the month by clicking on
the relevant quarter from the drop down list available on the left of your screen.
POPULATE THE TEAM CALENDAR
After having opened your team’s whereabouts calendar for the period you wish to populate, you can start to
enter whereabouts by following the steps below:
Step 1- Click on the ‘New’ button at the top right corner of the calendar screen. A ‘New Enrtry’ pop up will
appear that you are required to complete. All fields must be completed on this pop up box.
15
Module 4 – NPP NCF Whereabouts
December 2012
Step 2 – Address: To select an address you can either select a label from the addresses in the address book by
clicking on the drop down list or you can create a new address by clicking on the ‘New’ button. If you click on the
‘New’ button you will see the ‘New Address’ window pop up and you will be required to complete the mandatory
fields as explained in the ‘Create an address’ section on page 10 of this guide.
Note: On days when the team is not assembled and has no activity scheduled you must select the label ‘No
international team activity’.
If using the same address for different activities (training and matches) you need to input the whereabouts
activities in two separate entries. For example if you are training and competing at M Chidambaram Stadium,
Chepauk, Chennai, India, you can enter all trainings with the same start and end time as one entry and enter all
matches as a separate entry.
Step 3 - Category: Now that you have selected the address you must assign a category to the address by selecting
from the four categories in the drop down list. The four whereabouts categories are:
Overnight accommodation: This category is used to describe the address details of the hotel(s) where the
team will be staying overnight during the rolling four week period. You are not required to specify a start
and end time for this category.
Competition: This is the category that should be used when providing addresses for venues where the
team will be competing during the rolling four week period. You are not required to specify a start and
end time for this category.
Regular Activities: The regular activity category should be used when providing details of official team
training and team activities including all training camps, gyms, net sessions etc. You are required to
specify a start and end time for any regular activity.
Other: The other activity refers to the one off team activities such as bat signing or photo shoots or
official team outings etc. This category requires you to specify a start and end time.
The ‘Other’ category must also be chosen when using the address ‘No international team activity’ to
populate your calendar. When using this address you are not required to enter a start and end time
therefore tick the ‘All day’ box which deactivates the start and end time fields.
Different categories appear in different colours on the whereabouts calendar for easy identification.
Overnight Accommodation - Orange
Competition - Green
Regular Activities - Yellow
Other - Grey
Step 4 – Date: Enter the date(s) on which the team will be at the address selected. The address may relate to
more than one date in which case you are required to enter the very first date from when the address is relevant.
16
Module 4 – NPP NCF Whereabouts
December 2012
If the address relates to a specific date you are required to enter that date in this field. The date entered in this
field cannot be a past date.
Step 5 – Recurrence: After having entered the first date from when the address is relevant you need to select the
relevant recurrence option by selecting from the drop down list. The recurrence options are below:
None – Select ‘None’ if the address applies to only one single day of the month.
Daily – Select ‘Daily’ if the address is applicable for every day for a certain period (e.g. 3 or 5 days or even
longer). If you chose this option an additional information box will appear asking for the end date.
For example you would use this option, if the address you are inputting into the team calendar is a hotel
where the team is expected to stay from 8 – 13 Jul. The ‘Start Date’ field will have 8-Jul-2012 entered.
You will select ‘Daily’ in the recurrence field and then you will need to select 13-Jul-2012 from the
calendar that appears when you click in the ‘End Date’ field. This address will then appear in each of the
six days from 8-13 July
Weekly – Select ‘Weekly’ if the address is applicable on a weekly basis. After selecting the weekly option
from the drop down list, you will need to tick boxes that will appear to choose one or more days of the
week that the address is applicable.
For example, if the team was training every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for three weeks (1-22 Sep)
from 9am-12noon at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The ‘Start date’ field will have the start of
the three week period which is 1-Sep-2012. You will select ‘Weekly’ in the recurrence field and then you
will need to choose the days of the week the team is training (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) by
ticking the boxes ahead of each day. You will then need to select the end date from the calendar that
appears when you click in the ‘End Date’ field.
Specific dates – Choose ‘specific dates’ when the address is needed more than once, but there is no
pattern. When you choose this option from the drop down list you will notice a calendar symbol that
17
Module 4 – NPP NCF Whereabouts
December 2012
appears on the left of the recurrence field. You can click on the calendar and select the specific dates the
address applies to by clicking on the dates. If you have clicked on an incorrect date in error you can
remove the selection by clicking on the date again.
Entire Quarter – This entry is relevant if the address is applicable to the entire quarter (Jan – Mar or Apr –
Jun or Jul – Sep or Oct- Dec). Please note, you are only required to submit whereabouts on a rolling four
weeks basis and may not have much use for this option.
Step 6 – Start and End time - The start and end time fields will only appear when selecting the ‘Regular Activity’
or ‘Other’ category.
When entering time you must use the 24 hour format or add AM or PM if using the 12 hour format. For
example when entering 2:30pm you can use either of the following formats:
o 14:30 – (24 hour format)
o 2:30pm – (12 hour format)
When assigning the ‘No international team activity’ address to the ‘Other’ category you are not required
to update a start and end time instead tick the ‘All Day’ check box instead of entering specific times
You will not be required to enter a ‘Start Time’ and ‘End Time’ if using the addresses ‘No international team
activity’. Instead you must tick the ‘All Day’ box that exempts you from having to enter a Start and end time for
the activity.
Step 7 – Entire Team - The last field in this ‘New Entry’ pop up is the ‘Entire Team’ check box. You are required to
tick this box for all whereabouts entries as you are no longer required to assign players to a whereabouts entry.
Step 8 – Continue to populate the calendar with addresses in the address book, while assigning categories to
each address entered until complete.
18
Module 4 – NPP NCF Whereabouts
December 2012
Ensure you have at least one entry for every day of the upcoming four weeks and please use the ‘No
international team activity’ address for days when the team is not assembled and therefore have no activity
scheduled.
Step 9 – Once complete, you can Log out of the ADAMS website. You are not required to save or submit the
whereabouts information updated on your calendar as it saves automatically and ICC has access to the most up
to date information entered on the team calendar on ADAMS.
