INTRODUCTION

Thank you for acquiring the DS2600/3700/4700, part of DT Research’s WebDT Signage System, a total solution for effective digital signage deployment. The WebDT Signage System facilitates the creation of a unique and powerful communications medium that provides unpar-alleled opportunities to capture an audiences’ attention at key locations. The DS2600/3700/4700 inte-grates a vivid LCD screen with efficient processor computing in one slim design for efficient placements. Operating with the Microsoft® Windows® XP Embedded system, the DS26003700/4700 offers remote management of the content and device with WebDT Content Manager and WebDT Device Manager software. With the WebDT software suite, instant communications allow messages to target audiences in the right place, at the right time.

Powering ON and OFF The DS2600/ DS3700/4700 is programmed to Power On automatically when power is first connected or re-connected. To turn the DS2600/ DS3700/4700 on, plug the system in to a power source. The adjacent power LED will be lit (blue), and the corresponding interface will be shown on the display monitor.

To turn off the device, use the software shutdown interface provided or unplug the system.

In the event of system lockup, unplug/re-plug the power cable. Also, the Power Button, located on the back of the display as indicated in above figure, may be used to perform a reset on the device. To do that, push and hold the Power Button for at least 4 seconds. The system will shut down and all unsaved work may be lost. Pushing on the Power Button again will restart the device.

Display Control ButtonsThere are four buttons on the underside of the display for settings control.

Display settings:

Button 1: On/Off menu for display settings.•

Button 2: Select from menu (Picture, Color, and Set up), or switch between main menu and sub-• menu.

Button 3: Press to decrease the value of settings•

Button 4: Press to increase the value of settings•

The remote control can also be used to change display settings. The remote control sensor is near the buttons.

Appliance RegistrationAfter turning on the Signage System for the first time, a screen prompt is displayed for registering the player. If the screen prompt is not shown, please follow the instructions below:

Press and hold “Control + Shift + Space” to exit the WCM Player 1. software.

Navigate to Start | Programs | DT Research | WCM Player2.

Select Register Player Again. The Player Registration screen should 3. appear. Fill in all fields to register. The required information is marked.

Click OK to register and connect to the WebDT Signage Appliance Publish Server. 4.

Device PortsThe DS2600/ DS3700/ DS4700 features an optimal set of I/O ports. The DVI, Network (10/100 BaseT Ethernet), and Power ports are supplemented by a set of four (4) USB 2.0 and Audio ports. Through its USB ports, the DS2600/ DS3700/ DS4700 supports a wide range of USB-based peripherals. These peripherals are applicable in providing the means for software installation, application storage, data storage, and system software recovery and updates.

Memory and StorageDepending on base software configuration, the internal flash memory of the WebDT DS2600/ 3700/ DS4700 may be used for installed software and storage. The storage space may also be supple-mented with USB-based peripherals, e.g., flash disks and disk drives.

Do not disassemble any portion of the signage • system. It will void any product warranty on the DS2600/ DS3700/ DS4700.

Do not use any power adapter other than the one • provided with the device or acquired from the manufacturer or its partners.

In the unlikely event that abnormal noise, strange • odor, or smoke is present, immediately power down the DS2600/ DS3700/DS4700 and disconnect all power sources. Please report the problem to your device provider immediately.
