At last a stable and robust split butter-fly valve system for emptying and filling your highly potent or toxic media.Light to handle and safe to use. Youcan rely on the Müller ContainmentValve to safeguard the health of youremployees even as you maintain thepurity of your product and protect theenvironment.
The disk of the split butterfly valve isin two halves: the active and passivevalve. The active valve incorporates themechanical system for locking bothhalves together and a manual lever oractuator for opening and closing thevalve. The active half of the valve is fitted to the vessel filling or emptyingnozzle, and the passive half to theintermediate bulk container. The twohalves of the split valve (active andpassive valves) must be docked to-gether in order to open the valve. Theruggedly constructed and GMP-com-pliant locking pins on the active half ofthe valve ensure accurate locationwhen the two halves are docked.When both halves of the valves arelocked together, the system is closedto the atmosphere and the valve canthen be opened – manually or auto-matically, whichever way you prefer.
The valve system can be cleanedquickly and simply, thus reducing pro-duction line downtime. A valve disk canbe replaced in less than two minutes.

Whether operated manually or by anactuator, the Müller Containment Valve ensures that your toxic or highlypotent products flow safely – from theintermediate bulk container into theprocess line and back into a containeragain, exactly how you want it. And allthis up to OEB 4, i.e. up to OEL 1–10μg/m3. You can choose between valvesizes DN 100, DN 150, DN 200 and DN 250.

Silo with active valve – depending on the operation procedure it may be convenient to install the active valve at the vessel and the passive valve at the machine(in this case fixed to a mill).
All tests for determination of OEL/OEB classification acc.to SMEPAC were carried out by an independent laboratory.
Müller also supplies the handling equipment that goes wellwith the MCV – guaranteeing perfect harmony between allthe components
