Growth of Myanmar’s construc�on industry is supported by improving economic condi�ons, and government investments in residen�al, energy and u�li�es, and public infrastructure projects, as well as a rise in foreign investments. The industry is an�cipated to value at US$13.5 billion, in 2020.

Airport World reported on November 2018 that the Yangon Interna�onal Airport is looking to upgrade its infrastructure, including its safety and security systems, in order to be�er accommodate larger amounts of air traffic.

According to an ar�cle in July in Myanmar Times, Yangon’s recently completed Ar Yu Interna�onal Hospital features the latest infrastructure and security technologies including fire protec�on systems, automa�c smoke curtains, roll-up doors and air flow systems in its opera�on theatres.

Myanmar Strategic Holdings (MSH), which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, has acquired a Yangon-based security firm for US$2.2 million. Exera is a safety and security services provider opera�ng exclusively in Myanmar.
