Our school turned 5

• In 2008, the theoretical and professional classes of the former “Nicolae Balcescu” school separated, under the name “Mircea Eliade” Theoretical High School.

The students • There are 550 students

enrolled, in 16 high school groups and 2 middle school groups. They are aged 11-19.• Furthermore, there

are about 100 students enrolled in low frequency classes.•

The teachers• We have 25 teachers, out of

which 16 are tenured professors. Most of them have a first or second teaching degree level and one of them hold a doctorate title.

• Our teachers are active in long life learning courses of the Ministry of Education, which are funded by the European Union.
