Electronics Re-accreditation is granted for one year i.e., Intake of Batch 2010 subject to hiring of atleast one (01) postgraduate qualified faculty member, maintaining the required faculty members (at least eight) for one batch of students. The institute should address the weak areas/observations as mentioned in the visit report. Further to observe CQI, university/institute has to submit separate progress report alongwith evidence to PEC, while applying for subsequent re-accreditation.

The committee observed serious non-compliance regarding the practice of double intake (spring and Fall) since long despite the same was communicated to the institute earlier. The intake must be restricted to 200 students per year single intake in Fall semester, and assurance by Rector/Head of Institute be submitted.

The committee observed serious non-compliance regarding the practice of double intake (Spring and Fall) since long despite the same was communicated to the institute earlier as PEC policy. No further accreditation request shall be entertained unless compliance is made on single intake per year for all engineering programs of all campuses of CIIT. Further, university is also advised to adhere PEC policies/Regulations for Engineering Education in Pakistan regarding all matters including appointment of faculty. The institute should address all other weak areas/observations as mentioned in the visit report. If all the observations are not fully addressed then PEC has no choice but to reduce the intake accordingly. Namal is not a degree awarding institute (DAI) by itself whereas the degree is awarded by The Bradford University-UK. Hence the technical/legal issue on the duration of program and grant of accreditation is yet to be resolved. Therefore, the accreditation consideration at this stage is deferred.

The institute should address the weak areas/observations as mentioned in the visit report.
