Capacity Building of PRIs

Gramoday – Hamara Sankalp - An Innovative Training Programme

• An innovative training programme forSarpanches and PanchayatSecretaries was organized from 30th

November to 2nd December 2016 at SiriFort Auditorium, Delhi

• Objective: Capacity building bypromoting aspirational leadershipqualities and sense of ownership ofdevelopment programmes among theelected representatives of PanchayatiRaj Institutions

• The programme was successful inenhancing effective managementcapability morality and leadership ofparticipating Sarpanches,

Fourteenth Finance Commission Funds• Advisory issued to States for provision of water

supply, sanitation in anganwadis and schools andproviding safe drinking water to rural people usingFFC grants

• Ministry of Finance assigned the work ofrecommendation, scrutiny and monitoring to MoPR

• Expeditious examination & recommendation of BasicGrants since September, 2016 by MoPR

• FFC allocation of Rs. 200292.20 Crores for awardperiod 2015-20, which is three fold increase overaward of 13th Finance Commission (Rs. 65160.76Crores) for all tiers of PRIs
