Project Overview

• Approximately $250 million construction project • Tunnel length is approximately 5 miles • Tunnel depth varies between 70 and 150 feet • Seven (7) Shafts – 14 to 40 feet in diameter • Cast-In-Place concrete liner • One (1) million cubic yards of tunnel excavation • Dewatering pump station

• General Drainage Improvements – Drainage improvements to the Mill Creek, Peaks

Branch and State-Thomas watershed areas – Project outfalls to White Rock Creek – Tunnel will have a sufficient storm water conveyance

capacity to meet 100-year flood event
