All three of these individuals have graduated a University
with an extraordinary degree. However, all three of
these individuals are either unemployed, working in a job
field not consistent with their degree, or unable to excel
in their career due to lack of experience in leadership.
They are an example that having a degree does not
guarantees a job or a career. Not to mention, all of them
are in some form of student loan debt. These gentlemen
are unemployed or underpaid in what is called Grey
Collard Jobs.
So why did they join the Army? They all realized after the
presentation, that education alone is not enough, but
having hands on skills, along with the Leadership
Training is vital to surviving in the new economy. They
have a new understanding that Education and Technical
Skills Matter.

• Understand differences between Generation X, Y and Z and how you are thinking differently…..The Next Greatest Generation
• The world changed on us millennials. College is expensive and it is competitive because it is important to be well educated.
• High school IS important…your GPA and SAT/ACT scores matter.
• Take control of your destiny. Have a goal, passion and don’t let anyone or anything get in your way.
• Make yourself competitive in a new economy…Success in the New Economy
Ultimately remember this. Service in the US Army is neither ordinary or for people that have no other options. The US Army is a world class organization that
requires a highly trained and highly educated workforce. The skills earned, both tangible and intangible, will place you in a competitive position to out perform
your peers!
