‘EXAM’(2009) Movie

Exam is a Psychological thriller that revolves around 8 candidates in an employment exam.

They are given 80 minutes by their examiner to answer a question.

Introduction Of Movie

The invigilator outlines three rules they must obey or be disqualified: do not communicate to him or the armed guard by the door, don’t spoil their papers and don’t leave the room.

Early into the assessment, they realize that isn’t as simple as answering the question and the competitors must work together to first find the question before they can answer it.

1Chinese woman : She started writing first her paper within the first minute of the exam. She was the initiator. She was thrown out by guard because she spoiled her paper (Follow the rules).

Eight Characters are as follows

2.White: White figures out first that they are allowed to talk to each other. He was the Critical thinker and Risk taker.

White is able to direct willing and unwilling members of the newfound of voting, as well as manipulation of members, the room, and miscellaneous resources found in the room.

In order to move forward, he was a unstated leader in the beginning.

However, he acts in ways to influence others for his own Selfish desire and lost the authority to direct.

3.Dark: Dark was a Psychoanalyst ,the only one who has some information

about the company ,the products sells, its expansion etc. Dark asks the unseen invigilator for help foe white and is disqualified. She was Sympathetic leader.

4.Blonde: Blonde was both compassionate and defended fellow candidates. She was a Democratic leader.

5.Deaf : Deaf displays the symptoms of a Mental or Nervous disorder. Deaf only speaks in French. He was basically the observer rather than a leader.

6.Black : Black was competitive and completely Focused on winning. He focused more on strategy and was able to remove himself from his emotion to focus on the goal at hand. 7.Brunette : Brunette was a initiator, as she discovers they can touch the guard as long as they don’t talk to him. She was also a Democratic leader.

8.Brown : Brown was completely focused on winning.

Brown was a professional gambler . He tortures dark into revealing that she

works for the company . He was a Ruthless leader.

Their Communication style was a horizontal approach as the candidates saw their opponents as equals.

Because of the high stress situation they were put under, they mostly used either assertive or aggressive forms of communication.
