    IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS (IRR)

    IN THE CONDUCT OF THERegional Midyear Awards

    IRR1.0 Description

    These awards will be given on the 11th Regional Midyear Convention to recognize the

    efforts that the Local Chapters and delegates exerted to bring the JPIAns be the best of the

    best in the said event. Moreover, this is in line with our goal of promoting the concept of

    well-roundedness, that aside from the academic excellence that each of us is aiming for, we

    are also giving value in developing camaraderie and personality development.

    IRR1.1 General Guidelines:

    The Regional Midyear Awards for Local Chapters shall be composed of the following

    categories:

    1. Merit Award for Excellence in Academics

    2. Merit Award for Excellence in Non-Academics

    3. Most Participative

    4. Biggest Delegation

    ` 5. Most Outstanding Delegate

    In the whole duration of the convention, a SCOREBOARD shall be provided which will showthe updates of the scores in all categories. This board shall be updated by the Midyear

    Awards Committee every 6:00 pm and will be visible before entering the dining area.

    Mechanics:

    IRR1.2 Merit Award for Excellence in Academics

    This award will be given to the Local Chapter who exemplified outstanding performances

    in the Academic Competitions during the Regional Midyear Convention.

    The following points will be used in determining the winner:(For 4th SGV & Co. Cup, 4th CAT Cup Series, Meet the Standards Quiz Bowl)

    IR1.3 Merit Award for Excellence in Non-Academics

    This award will be given to the Local Chapter who exemplified outstanding performances

    in the Non- Academic competitions during the Regional Midyear Convention.

    The following points will be used in determining the winner:

    (For Ambassador of Goodwill)

    4th Place 6

    5th Place 3

    (For Online Photo Contest, Essay Writing. Poem Writing, Poster Slogan, Drama Fest, Last

    Comic Standing, Urban Showcase and Fashion Show)

    4th Place 4

    5th Place 2

    IR1.4 Most Participative Local Chapter

    CRITERIA:

    A. Attendance in Seminars, Talks and other events 50%

    B. Participation in Academic and Non- Academic Contests 50%

    TOTAL 100%

    Corresponding points per participant in Criteria A

    Exactly on time (based on the itinerary) 15

    Within 15 minute grace period 10After another 15 minutes 7

    After another 20 minutes 5

    After a total of 1 hour 2

    Attendance in Seminars, Talks and other events 50%

    This refers to specific seminars such as Team Building, Non- Academic Seminar, and

    Corporate Talks, Opening and Awarding.

    NOTE: The points shall only be awarded if the participants stayed until the end of the

    event. The attendance will be check at the start, during and at the end of the event. The

    participant must LOG OUT through his/her signature in order for his/her points to becounted.

    Participation in Academic and Non- Academic Contests 50%

    This includes participation in Academic and Non-Academic Contests. Each participant will

    be given 1 point. The LC garnering the highest points shall be the basis for transmuting the

    percentages.

    IRR1.5 Biggest Delegation

    This award will be received the LC who has the highest number of delegates in the 11th

    Regional Midyear Convention.

    IRR 1.6 Most Outstanding Delegate

    This award will be given to the delegate who showed exceptional performance as a

    delegate in the Midyear Convention.

    CRITERIAAcademic Excellence 55%

    Non- Academic Excellence 45%

    NOTE: A participant can join a maximum of 3 academic and non academic events providedthat it is not conducted simultaneously. The TOP 3 will be recognized during the Awarding.

    The Highest scorer shall be proclaimed as the MOST Outstanding Delegate while the two

    runners-up will proclaimed as OUTSTANDING DELEGATES.
