If I could pick things I love in life, those things would
be: colors, smiles and energy. The main themes in the
pictures I have chosen are; colors, youth, smile, fun and
energy.
Personally, I was really excited for this project. I
love taking pictures of other people and objects. I started
my project last weekend, when I was visiting my friend
family in Saint Louis. The weather that weekend was
perfect. The sun was shining Sunday morning, and decided to
take my bike and make pictures. I spent a whole day taking
pictures in the park.
My song is about being ‘’young forever’’. In my eyes
being young forever does not have to mean that people
should be under a specific age. It is about what you make
of your days, your life. We will never stay young; we
always get older when days pass by, but we will stay young
by living our dreams, be happy and smile. Even if you grow
old, there will always be opportunities to stay young. The
song describes youth is like diamonds in the sun, and
diamonds forever. Being young is shining, being happy and
enjoy life. Diamonds will be forever youth will be forever.
The path in life you will take shapes you as a person,
adventures will come and go and dreams will stay and come
true.
The pictures I took for this song are very different,
but come together when it is about ‘’forever young’’.
In my first picture I took a picture of my friend. The
colors are very important in this picture. She is smiling
and looks very happy, and because of the color contrast the
picture emanates in my eyes the image of being forever
young. In this picture it is not about the girl being
young, but it is about whom she represents. She shins like
a diamond in the sun, representing the never-ending youth.
The second, third and fifth pictures I took are about
nature. In my eyes nature also describes being young,
humans do not only present youth. The flowers, trees and
leaves in these pictures do all have a very intense color
contrast. In the second picture; flowers are blossoming in
bright colors, representing a never-ending youth. The third
picture shows trees in their fall status. The leafs on the
trees all have excessive red and orange colors. In the
fifth picture you see an outstanding leave and a reflection
of a young, green tree. Both objects are in different
statuses of their lives, both in different colors. With
their bright colors their represent being young forever.
The reflection of the young green tree is shining trough
the water.
The last and final picture, was I picture I took in
the park. That day was very beautiful; people of every age
were enjoying the amazing Sunday, exercising and enjoying
nature. It felt people were enjoying life. Kids were
running around smiling, playing with each other. In this
picture you see a couple walking on the green grass, next
to the bright water fountain. The picture show a strong,
fortunate world.
The song I picked for my midterm project is: Alphaville –
Forever Young.
Some are like water, some are like the heat
Some are a melody and some are the beat
Sooner or later they all will be gone
Why don't they stay young
It's so hard to get old without a cause
I don't want to perish like a fading horse
Youth is like diamonds in the sun
And diamonds are forever
So many adventures couldn't happen today
So many songs we forgot to play
So many dreams are swinging out of the blue
We let them come true
