Findings of MI
Cooking cost was not made available regularly in some of the visited schools Children were not given micronutrients (Iron, folic acid, and vitamin – A dosage) and
de-worming medicine in the schools The cooking cost is not received in advance in any of the schools in Tonk District. A large number of schools do not receive cooking cost(2-5 months) in time. There is no maintenance of health card for individual child in most of the schools. Children of Hindu and Muslim Communities sit separately in groups, when getting
MDM GUPS Ameerganj in Tonk District. There is no prescribed roaster for the visit of community members to monitor the
MDM in almost all the schools in Tonk District. There were 164 students, who did not avail MDM inspite of being present. It is more
surprising that out of 164 students, 74 were such, who were present according to MDM register, but did not avail the meal in District Sawai Madhopur.
In a large no. of schools honorarium is not paid regularly in District Sawai Madhopur.

Findings of Review Mission
Cooking Cost: Delay of 2-4 months in payment of cooking cost and teachers had to pay out of their pockets in many schools.
Irregularity in supply of food grains by transporters: As a result the schools have to borrow food grains from the nearby schools
Irregularities conducted by the cooking agencies: Cooking agencies like Annapurna and centralized kitchens are not providing satisfactory services.
MDM LOGO: Not found displayed in any of the visited schools in both the districts
Lower coverage of students: Attendance in all the schools was found between 40 and 55%.
Lack of proper utilization of Kitchen –cum-stores: Food is prepared in the open and food grains are not stored there.
Maintenance of records: Several purchases are not supported by documents. Honorarium to Cooks: Huge delays in payment of honorarium especially in
Tonk District.
