Treatment: Quenched & Tempered at HRc 34+-2 for Box side and HRc 26+-2 for Pin Side.

After friction welding process, heat affected zone to be normalized.

Mechanical Data – General Female Ends All standard lengths have a socket type female threaded end. However, if outside diameter is

restricted please contact us for flush type threaded ends. Solvent cement type ends are also

available on request.

Thread Types Standard threads are shown below. Other types of threads, for example API and BS 879 are

available on request. Coarse threads are also available if required for quicker joint make-up, and in

some cases special threads can be provided when extra tensile strength is needed. Please note that

100/4" nominal diameter is also available with 'GAS' type thread. All threads are cleaned,

inspected and gauge tested before dispatch and male ends are fitted with a thread cap.
