Save the Date: Annual Learning Exchange on June 10 in LansingTheMEICwillconveneitsannualLearningExchangeonJune10andwillhostitssecondannualState&Citytaxtraininginthefall.
TheMEICsupportsIRScertified,free,incometaxsitesacrossMichiganthroughadvocacyandoutreachtotaxpayershelpingpractitionersbuildcapacity.Eachyear,morethan104,000taxpayersaccessfreeincometaxservicesatoneofthenearly350siteslocatedacrossthestate.In2015,morethan10,600usersaccessedtheMEIC’staxpayersite,MichiganFreeTaxHelp.organdinthefirstthreemonthsofthisyear,7,372usershaveusedthesitetolearnmoreabouttaxcreditsandtaxpreparationoptions.Inall,freetaxsitesacrossMichigansavetaxpayersmorethan$14.1millionayearintaxpreparationfees.
