All students-9 th through 1z" g rade-a re expected to read at least one book from -.: the District Summer Reading List for Senior High School Students. This book does not take the place of the texts required for each grade level. lt is to be read in addition to the grade level choices. Students are to focus on reading from the books listed at the AR BOOK FINDER webs ite (arboo kfind.com). Stude nts must keep a focus on their Final Star Test results and ZP D scores from the 201 1-12 school year when choosi ng books to read. At least one (1) book must be selected from the M-DCPS S ummer Reading List and fal! within or above their ZPD range to be able to receive the Summer Reading Credit. Students should be prepared to score no lower than an 85% to receive a "B". The Summer Readi ng List for 9 th through 1i h grade students can be accessed via the Miami Southridge home page @ MiamiSouthridge.dadeschools.net under the student tab.

SUMMER READING ASSIGNMENT

The English Language Arts Summer Reading Assignments will focus on preparing stude nts to come back to the 2012-13 school yea r prepared to use the AR program at the start of the schoo l yea r.
