Part 1 Key Events You will be given a significant event from the Civil War time period. You must research this event to learn as much as you can about it. Find a primary source document that discusses your event. Save this document to the group Diigo and use the “post-it and highlighter” features to mark significant information in your document; explain on the post-its why you found this information interesting. 3. Find a picture that adequately represents your event. Trace your picture onto the drawing paper provided and color the picture with colored pencils. 4. Using the template provided, type a synopsis of your event. Include the who, what, where, when, why information from the timeline event template. This template should be printed out, cut on the paper cutter, glued to the inside of your drawing, and then matted to construction paper provided. Font: ARIAL Font Size: 8.5

1. Complete the Timeline Pivotal Person template and save it to your P-drive.2. Find a primary source document (preferably a diary entry) that discusses your person.

Save this document to the group Diigo and use the “post-it and highlighter” features to mark significant information in your document; explain on the post-its why you found this information interesting.

3. Create a twitter account if you don’t have one. Tweet a quote from your person..as if it were the person talking. Link the journal entry or primary source into your tweet for others to see. You will also have to include the hash tag listed below that applies to your class so that we can create a trending topic.

4. Find a picture of your person and fit it into the template provided on the template sheet. Using your information, write a synopsis of your person’s life. Fit it into the template provided.
