UMC Jan. 31-Feb. 14.
Training sessions for RATI
will be on Monday, Jan. 11 at
6:30pm at Calvary Episcopal
Church in the Parish Hall and Thursday, Jan. 21 at
6:30pm at Missouri UMC in Whittler Hall (extra parking in
Hitt Street Garage). A training session is recommended
for everyone as there are some changes at the shelter
each year.
If you are interested in signing up to volunteer, let us
know at [email protected] and we will send
you a volunteer link.
This year, we are interested in having a host from MUMC
who has volunteered with RATI in the past to be at the
shelter each night in the kitchen from 5:30 to 7:30pm
to organize the volunteers and answer questions. If you
are interested in working a night or two in that capacity,
email Connie at [email protected].

Turning Point 2016 Calendar Jane Mudd, an art professor on the faculty at Williams Woods University in Fulton, spent some time at Turning Point thissummer and produced a series of painted portraits of some of the folks she met there. Turning Point has put togethera 2016 calendar incorporating 15 of the paintings as a fundraiser. A sample is in the church ofce. The cost is $25, andbenets Turning Point, an organization run by Wilkes Blvd. UMC that provides services for Columbians experiencinghomelessness.
